My family had a fantastic and free field trip here! There is plenty of free parking with clear signs directing you to the parking area. As you walk towards the main building, there's a sign that points to the left, where the prologue room is located. This is only open during the summer from June to August, Monday to Friday, from 9am to 4pm. No reservations needed unless you want a guided tour. Upon arrival, you sign in your group and then you're free to explore. It was a wonderful experience seeing the planes, rockets, and more. It took us about 45 minutes to fully explore and read about everything. Overall, it was a short but...

A St. Louis secret. Lived here for over 35 years and did not know this museum existed. Grandson loves aeronautical technology and airplanes so we had a lot of fun seeing and reading about the history of McDonnell Douglas/Boeing. Had no idea they built the space shuttles or designed so many of the commercial planes and Air Force One through history. You don't need a lot of time so an hour or two will get you through and it's very condensed so not any walking. I would suggest maybe a couple of benches down in the museum fir older folks to sit while the youngsters are enjoying all...

A small history of Boeing "museum". The site was a McDonnell's site before the merger, you can feel it in the exhibits. The admission is free and they have free posters that you can take with you. Before entering the "museum", they have a long collection of short documentaries from the history of the companies and different aircraft and other crafts. I watched for 35 minutes and it didn't restart, so it is long. Salient stuff are the mocks used for the mercury and Gemini capsules. The airplane models are nice to look at too. If you like aviation, it is a nice...

This is a must see place for anyone who is even remotely interested in aviation, rocketry, or even the space program. This area is educational for young people and will stir memories of the great moments in flight directly involved with Boeing and McDonald Douglass manufacturing . St Louis has, and continues to be a vital link for providing protection, and transportation for people all over the world with a proud heritage of skilled and dedicated workers.
