I have been going to Hungerford Nature Center for a few years now. My children now ages 3 and 5 really love this place. Not only is the price very reasonable to get in, although it is not that large there is so much to do. They have so many different animals and so much for the kids to see and do.
My daughter just had her birthday party here and from beginning to end, the experience was fantastic. It was a reasonable price for the room, along with a 1 hour animal show for the kids (turtle, box turtle, chinchilla, bearded dragon) and Jay did a great job teaching the children (AND ADULTS!!) so much during this 1 hour show. Not only did all the children love this place, the parents loved it too. It is clean, beautiful and in a great location. I would highly recommend this place to any parents, caregivers or family members with small children....
Read moreCame to Hungerford for the first time today and had the best time! It’s on the smaller size but there’s plenty for kids to do! I came with the 4 year old I nanny and she had so much fun. She loved the barn animals and the playground! We saw alpacas, a pig, goats, a goose, a duck, owls, hawks, reptiles, frogs, turtles, and other animals. Chickens are roaming freely, scared the daylight out of me so beware! 😂
We packed snacks but they also serve wraps/sandwiches, coffee, and smoothies which is so nice when you want a quick lunch. Nice patio area where you can sit, relax, and eat while the kids play. Plus, the food was very tasty!...

I like the little garden area that was cute for the kids over by the trail. One thing I didn't really like in the playground area .... Is that it needs a few repairs and there are some really really sharp rocks I two areas. I thought it was strange in a playground. I could just see a bunch of kids running around in one falling on them and...
