The Beach is great! Parking is not, It used to be 80% free parking with a private area for locals. Now, The parking is mostly restricted, but there is some free public parking. Also, there is poor safety for swimmers, no lifeguards and no warning system in place. So watch where you park, be careful if you swim and enjoy the beach!

Parking is an issue but there is really not much that can be done . Beautiful spot for some pictures and is adjacent to the 1933 Chicago worlds fair Century of progress homes.

The restrooms here accommodate a pair of people on each side (men & women) and we are very thankful to have them. Some of our kids came unprepared and we were able to duck into the handicapped accessible stalls and change there before heading to the beach.

They were clean and we had no issues using them. Note that the free parking here in 2021 is now $25 for a 7-day vehicle pass or $45 for an annual pass. Thanks to the team of superheros in the National Parks Service who keep these facilities ready for use. God bless and thanks for...

Beautiful with a short walk to the beach. It iss great for picnics with tables available and bathrooms that are clean....but the parking is minimal and there are a bunch of small rocks going...
