Heritage Park is an Absolutely Gorgeous Park 😍. It by far has to be one of the prettiest parks in Blacksburg. It is kept VERY Clean and Mowed. It has several walking trails. It also has a really big pond down one of the trails. A couple trails open up into beautiful big fields. There are a couple old barns on the property that are falling apart due to their age but are maintained and relatively safe to walk into. Just have to stay aware and watch your footing. My 5 girls and I had pictures taken at Heritage Park and they turned out beautifully! There’s also a Human-size wooden bird house 🙃I wish I had a pic to share but there’s one on their website…check it out! 🤪. I’ll have to get a picture and add it later 😉. Follow the trail between the 2 old barns to get to the Human-size Birdhouse. It’s pretty cool 😎! I highly recommend going and checking out Heritage Park in Blacksburg Va…You will NOT be...

Fun place to walk, run, bike, explore, hammock, or just hang out.

The park has two parking lots, a lower lot and an upper lot.

If you’re into mountain biking or trail running, I recommend parking at the lower lot and heading .2 miles down the road toward Jacob’s Ladder, which then leads to a massive network of mountain biking and running dirt trails.

If you’re just looking to explore the park, soak up the sun, or have a picnic, I would suggest parking in the upper lot. This lot is located right across the street from the amazing Rising Silo Brewery, which I recommend hitting up after your visit to the park.

The park is family and pet friendly, clean, and has something...

This is a great local park close to downtown Blacksburg with 2 parking areas. One can be reached off of Glade Rd and the other larger lot is on Meadowbrook Dr (where you can hike and connect into the Poverty Creek Trail system that leads to Pandapas Pond via the Gateway Trail). There are miles of paved walkways and grassy trails with interesting things to see like ponds, streams, old barns and silos. There is a picnic pavilion. By the fall of 2018 this park will have a paved section that connects into the...

Beautiful place for a nice hike and a great area to bring your children there is a play area near the end of the hike with some activities there is also some books to read for some leisure time and to rest your legs. At the beginning of the park they have a wide open local restaurant that surveys local foods. The atmosphere is bright and clean trails a long the trail are some bird houses you can view and benches to rest not very hard on your feet and no steep hills. You can also bring your bike if you'd like too

This is such a nice park. It's not the place to go if you want basketball courts or playgrounds, but the walking trails are beautiful and well maintained, great for reflection and spending time in nature. I love to come here after dinner to walk and listen to an audiobook. I can pick 20 minute loops or hour-plus ones since the Huckleberry trail connects here too. There are benches in strategic places for both resting and scenery and options for picnics and gatherings as well. A lovely and underappreciated place!
