On the way to Monument Valley we stopped at The Dinosaur Museum in Blanding. A really excellent museum combining dinosaur remains, superb models and movie memorabilia. A great balance between science fact and fiction and very accessible information. Founded by Stephen & Sylvia Czerkas - Stephen spending his early career sculpting dinosaurs for motion pictures and then for museums around the world. His early scientific publications focused on dinosaur skin and ornamentation, and Stegosaur plate arrangement whereas his later research and publication explored the relationship between dinosaurs and birds. And he consulted about velociraptors for Jurassic Park. A really interesting gem of a museum we really...

This was a fun stop. Reasonably priced, great place to learn about different types of dinosaurs, prehistoric birds and critters. GREAT displays but mainly well done casts. Worth the stop whether your an adult or kid. Small but nice gift shop and a big parking lot which also accommodates if you have a trailer behind you.

The staff (Allen) was very nice, helpful and a guy who really likes his job. Thanks Allen for being so helpful...$5.50 for adults, Senior $4.50 and kids not sure since we are older.

The downside for me was I am very interested in actual fossils, bones rather then casts to look at but if it has to casts then they nailed it. Beautiful and quality...

Love this museum! It’s been a life saver for this local momma with very busy kids. My young kiddos (4 & 2) are die hard Dino fans. We purchased an affordable annual pass and it’s been one of my better investments. The Staff knows us well by now and are always welcoming and friendly. Now that my kids are familiar with the staff too, they have started returning their offered high fives and are just as excited about that as they are to see all the dinosaurs. Having gone several times this year, I’m still finding exhibits or small plaques I hadn’t noticed before. Definitely a unique museum. Highly...

I really enjoy this place, it's got lots of cool things to see. It's informative about how the way dinosaurs are looked at had changed with new discovery. My favorite room is covered in old movie posters that feature dinosaurs. They are a treat to look at. It does feel a little lacking though in some spots, buy nothing major! The signs are best to read as an adult, not super attention holding for kids. It's 8$ a person (adult) now as well, but it's a neat stop if you're in Blanding and need and hour or two to kill.

The cost to get in was very reasonable. I had 1 small child that just wanted to continue our road trip, she really did not want to go in. After we got in she completely changed her mind. She loved looking around and reading the information. She took pictures of everything to share with her cousins. It was a very nice small place with a lot of information. We ended in the gift shop and bought a few things. A lovely little stop on our road trip.
