So pretty, and the lake is huge. There was no huge wait line and the beach wasn't too crowded. Two problems though. The first one is the bathrooms. Thankfully there are modernish amenities, but none of the doors have working locks and a lot of the walls and doors plus parts of the floor were chipped or leaning. The second one is that there was no lifeguard keeping the rules. Kids were going over the rope line in the water and running all around splashing adults and other kids. Though this is at no fault of the beach, it would still be nice to have a lifeguard to keep the peace and make sure no one was drinking beer on the beach (which there were a couple). Read moreI love the lakeview from the shelter we stayed at, one thing I didn't like is that they don't do reservation on that particular shelter( Fairfax Beach Shelter) we arrived early as I was told it's a first come first served but throughout the day we had different people asking for us to share the shelter and the grill which was sort of uncomfortable due to the fact that we needed all tables and of course the grill. We spent another hour trying to navigate because there are no other navigation signs than the 'You Are Here' upon arrival to a particular area. After finally arriving we're told the beach is closed because it has flooded.
