We went early in the morning on a Saturday to go skiing and snowboarding. It's not a cheap adventure with a family of four it cost us about $250. That included the lift tickets and rentals. The rentals were $25 for boots and equipment. Helmets were another $9. The lift tickets were about 25 to 30 bucks.
Staff are friendly I had to exchange my boots out and they were able to do it quickly. If a variety of hills and the convenience of being right in the city can't be beat. There seem to be a lot of staff that have been there for a bit and love the job and definitely some new staff.
I would say to avoid the cafe or food area made most of our stomachs upset like you had a salad. It's a grab-and-go situation where there's just food sitting out on warmers and you fill up your tray. It's a huge zoo around lunch time with people packed in and a great way to spread covid. I would recommend bringing your own food with you. For a couple burgers a couple pieces of pizza, four drinks, and a couple of salads it was about 45 bucks. Also dressing is extra for your salad which is ridiculous.
The chalet has lots of seating a couple of TVs playing a football game and a big open view of the runs and some jumps so you can watch people which is pretty fun. Most of the seats were packed with people's things, people trying to reserve seats with their coats, or trash from meals, so we had to clean off our own spaces from other people's trash.
They have a shuttle and free parking so make sure that you can carry your stuff with you to the shuttle. We found that after about 10:30 it was really busy at the chalet and there was no space for storing your stuff so again earlier the better in my opinion on that day. Kids had a great experience on the Bunny Hill I had a great experience on the other ones. Would definitely be back again but with my own equipment, hot...
Β Β Β Read moreHands down one of my favorite places to bring kids of all ages!!
During certain times of the year, they even have a mini splash pad going - soft ground, so many slides I couldn't even count them all, and play structures fit for toddlers through adult sizes (great when you gotta help a kid down from the top).
I took a panorama to try to capture it all, but honestly there's still more to explore: like a set of tire swings up the steps area (behind the toddler area), and a jungle gym climbing structure to the far right.
It can get pretty busy if daycares are visiting (but that's a risk with any great park!). Overall, definitely worth traveling from our neck of the woods ;)
**PROS: great for ages toddler and up. Lots of variety and different skill levels/interests. Comfortable benches and tables and umbrellas, including areas close to the toddler area.
**CONS: closed seasonally (check their website for up to date info). Not integrative (though you can take the light incline up to the playground, vs the steps, there's steps, stairs, etc. that would bar certain special needs children from enjoying the park). Though there's a fence around most of it, the sheer size and amount of things do mean that if you have a runner, you'll be biting your nails at this place!

Β Β Β Read moreThe kids, ages 9-14, had a blast! They climbed rope ladders and webs, swung on swings, and created games inspired by the fun surroundings. Interestingly, they didn't go on any of the slides. Oh well. They still asked to come again when we left. There are several areas for kids to play in: one section of netted tubes and climbing platforms with slides, a large playground with multiple long and twisty slides, a smaller playground for young kids, a little playground in the sand for babies and toddlers, a large spider web rope tower, a set of tire swings, an enclosed maze of tunnels and nets, twirly chairs, and even a spongy foam hill to jump from. (Most of the flooring in the playground is spongy foam, but sections of it are wood chip.) There are lots of options for seating, from benches to tables, covered and uncovered. Oh, and there is a little section of misters to cool the kids off on hot days. For being misters, they really get the kids wet, so bring a towel or have them come in their swimsuits. The whole playground is fenced in, but there are a lot of areas to play in, so you may be on your feet a lot to keep track of who's...
