I thoroughly enjoyed my first time at Boerne lake! It's not a very big park, so I think I'd avoid the place on weekends to avoid crowds. A weekday might be preferable if you're looking to have your own wide space on land and in the water. My family and I chose an early Monday morning and we got the best spot in the park with so much space to ourselves for the whole day! The water was clear, clean, and a comfortable temperature. Schools of fish (harmless) came up to us to peck at our feet and legs, it was a fun and tickling experience! There was some trash on land but my dad said he witnessed vultures pulling trash out of the bins in the early morning, so it wasn't the fault of park staff. People have complained about the distance to the porta-potties, but it's really not that bad, unless you're lazy. Also, be sure to bring your water-shoes as well; there are some rough rocky areas. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and will definitely return again!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Boerne Lake is a true treasure! My family and my swimming team absolutely love Boerne Lake. It’s the kind of place that brings everyone together—whether we’re enjoying a peaceful picnic, kayaking across the calm waters, or diving into swim practice with the team. The lake is clean, well-maintained, and surrounded by beautiful Hill Country views that make every visit feel like a mini getaway. There’s plenty of space for kids to play, and the atmosphere is always safe and welcoming. For our swim team, it’s a perfect outdoor training spot—refreshing, energizing, and just plain fun. We always leave feeling recharged and connected. If you're looking for a place that blends relaxation with recreation, Boerne Lake is it. Highly recommended for families, athletes, and anyone who loves the outdoors!

Love this hidden gem! Entry fees are $15 per vehicle, which I think are just right for an all day experience. The park is really clean with lots of different areas to set up, including some nice picnic benches. Even the “bathrooms” were clean and smelled okay (they were port a potty’s). They allow dogs in the park as long as they are on a leash so we took our pup and he had an amazing time. We also rented some kayaks for $20 each. They were super easy to navigate and the whole renting process was super easy.

My family & I love this little lake. Only $15 per car which I think is a fair price. This little park and lake are always clean and security is always active and patrolling which makes us feel extremely safe. They do allow dogs if they are on a leash and you pick up after them. You can fish here and they have a small dock where you can get your kayaks in and out of the water safely. It's about 31 feet deep so the water always feel nice. Only a few grills available so you either need to get there early or bring your own. We always bring our hammocks and plenty of chairs since there only a pavilion for rent that has seating. Bring your family, I promise you wont be disappointed! We can't wait until next...
