We love this pool we used to go here almost every day. We we bought the membership this year which is much more worth it. $14 per person a month, which seriously beats the $16 per person a day entry fee. You can bring your own snacks, coolers wagons pretty much anything, no grills though. The outside pool is nice there is a lazy river with a small waterfall and ripples, a few large slides diving board, a bigger pool with lap lanes, and zero depth entry. There is also a sand pit and a kids splash pad which is just concrete and sprinklers. The inside pool is open year-round which is included in your $14 a month membership it does have some wacky hours though I would call to confirm before you go. The inside pool is a little bit small it does have a larger kids area with two big slides and a zero depth entry and some buckets and on the other side are the lap lanes and a small area that’s 4 feet deep. On about three days a week in the evenings they are booked for swim lessons and swim team so they are closed for those hours. Attached is an indoor locker room. On the other side of the locker room is the Bolingbrook gym which is not included in the $14 a month membership but you can purchase that for an additional fee. No floaty’s or noodles allowed in the pool lifevests are fine as long as they are Coast Guard approved, I think they even supply some but they are usually oversized so I would bring your own. I recommend either bringing your own lock for the locker room, a lockbox to attach to your chair by the pool, or you can purchase a lock for six dollars at the front desk. I had to learn the hard way because I had my snack stolen the first time we went, thankfully it wasn’t something more valuable. Get here early chairs are sparse especially under the umbrella in the shade. The food is OK credit cards are accepted. but the menu is not big. My only huge complaint is that on more than a few occasions the stench of sewage has been overpowering coming from the gutters also I have seen the remnants of an exploded diaper on the side of the pool and no one there to clean it up. Also the outdoor locker rooms are never very clean. The bottom of the pool is always full of sand and the pool walkway is always full of snacks so I was suggest flip-flops or water shoes. Other than that have fun.
On another note, The water at this pool seems to be warmer than other pools we have gone to which is pleasing when you live in Chicago and it always...
Read moreSo ive been a member here for over a year now. I Worked out all through my 9 months of pregnancy and then some. I train 5 to 6 days a week. I Like the facility because it is usually pretty clean and quiet. And when the bracc is busy you can go to the annerino where it is usually empty. HOWEVER... be sure not to work out with a "gym buddy" because you will be harrassed for doing so. As of today I have now been stopped by a trainer and the manager on 2 seperate occasions because i prefer to work out with someone. When i sighned up I was given a few guest passes to bring a "friend". I was then questioned about bringing my "friend" who is my brother who mind you got a memberahip after beeing approached by a security guard who was extremely rude and unprofessional about it. As was the trainer that approached me. My brother who didnt have a membership at the time was on my guest pass.... and he still purchased a membership after beeing treated extremely unfair. I frequent both clubs regularly and witness many men/woman and teenagers who are always training with someone..... Friend, a loved one, a child or in a group. I always train with the same handful of people because lets face it who has that many fitness friends? So because i workout with the same group of people 2 of which are family. i have been harrassed more than once. I am wondering if any one else has had this issue? Because at this point I have been approached, stopped in the middle of my workouts, been berated with my training buddies in the middle of our workouts.....questioned, threatened.... but yet they do not kick me out nor do ANYTHING in the process. This has now become harrassment. Today the manager grabbed me in the middle of my workout. Was questioning me and shaking while we had this conversation which made me feel pretty uncomfortable and not to mention was extremely unprofessional. I do believe a complaint needs to be made..... i am writing this review to warm others. If you chose to work out with a partner/partners. You will be stopped by whoever feels they have the authority to do so at...
Read moreI’m glad we didn’t buy the overly exorbitant membership this year because this place is run like trash. We were there at open and the lines were a complete disaster, and the guy who came out to try to manage it didn’t manage it at all and just made it worse. Half of us couldn’t hear him and nobody knew which lines they should be in because they added a line that would only take credit to speed up people getting in, but it just slowed everything down and everyone started cutting one another. The employee just walked back inside and left everyone to their devices instead of managing the line.
The lazy river was the most ridiculous thing of all though. They implemented a one-time go-around because it was crowded so they had a lifeguard in the water insuring people didn’t get a second turn, but tons of people were just getting out with their tubes and running behind the lifeguards’ back to the lazy river entrance and they were doing nothing about it all day. When we asked if we could go around a second time they lectured us about one turn only so I replied, “You do realize everyone is just getting out and running behind you guys to go again, right?” Both lifeguards had an attitude and rudely replied, “No they aren’t. No they aren’t.” I replied, “Yes they are. I’ve watched it all day.” They kept refuting this with nasty tones in their voice and said “thanks” to shut me down. We watched her wave several other people past for a second time as well, so I’m kind of curious why the lifeguards are picking and choosing who the rules apply to.
Maybe hire some actual adults who can manage lines and make sure everyone is following the rules. We shouldn’t be treated like garbage for simply asking to go a second time when everyone else was. At least we had the courtesy to ask instead of just doing what everyone else was...
