This is a very local place for us but that being said as with most local places this is the first time we have been here. The entrance to the park is very difficult to find and dangerous to enter. We found it easier to park at the commuter parking lot and walk over on the paved path that has a guard between you and the highway. We have spent years driving by this place but never seeing it. That is one of the biggest problems with driving, you are moving so fast you fail to see what is really around you. Well that's enough existential thought, lets get back to the review. This park leaves you the option of a choose your own adventure. You can take the nice flat open path that use to be a railroad or you can climb up the hill which can be a little steep. Nothing that you have to rock climb for, at least if you do not want to but it is a good workout. The painted and graffitti ed rocks are interesting to look at. Some are just people feeling destructive but most are calls for love and peace or just adding to the beauty around it. At the top of the mohegan trail don't follow the well laid out path but move to the right and look for the peace rock. At the top of that hill is the American flag rock. I great place to get a good picture. Just watch out for the glass bottles. from there we went off path to explore and found some really interesting places. After the steep climb we decided to walk the railroad pass which is this awesome channel between two rock cliffs that they carved the railroad lane out of. During the winter the water running off of these cliffs creates cool icicles and ice walls. Once you get into the hike you can branch off and walk through Freja Park, which conveniently dropped us back at the commuter parking lot where...

Great walk. I did this as a part of the Sky's the Limit 2022 Challenge. It's apart of the airline trail and although it's not paved, it's well packed down dirt/gravel, so great for biking. Restrooms along the route. Benches to rest along the route if you need to. We walked 4 miles (2 back and fourth) and it was a nice relaxing walk with beautiful views of the woods and it was nice and shaded most of the way. The tunnels and rock formations we're very cool. There were little fish and frogs in the streams from the water that's trickled off the rocks on the sides of the path. Not too buggy....

This is actually such a beautiful place to go hiking there is so much to see here I started off by following a loop trail from the alltrails app. I did find the flag Rock which is not far from the parking area I also got to see the nice tunnel. I also saw a humongous sandpit which was so cool and I was not expecting to see that once you get to the top there is going to be such a beautiful view up there truly amazing I've never seen anything like it absolutely gorgeous I definitely recommend checking this place out you will definitely like it so much...

I started off from the park and ride commuters’ parking lot and took the blue trail. There is a little pond on the way. With the foliage and the reflection, the view is beautiful. I then took the yellow trail loop. It is rocky. With leafs falling and covering the ground, some places of the trail can be a little slippery. The signs need to be refreshed. There is no outlook view. The bushes are little overgrown.
