Come dine at Bonita’s best waterfront restaurant! Awarded best seafood in Florida 2025!🏆🍻🦀🌴🌞

Great place to spend time at the beach if you are near Ft. Meyers. There is a procedure to get it. You have to go through a neighborhood of upscale homes. You have to drive slow because the road is layered with red bricks. Then you come to an attendant where you have to pay a fee. The beach is a sanctuary for birds 🦢🦜🦆 all kinds of birds. You have to hike to the beach. The beach is kind of stunning for Florida. There are shells everywhere.

We tried to visit the beach but it was closed. The community sustained significant damage from the storm with lots of older homes with major damage or completely gone. The road on the island was open but had heavy construction traffic with heavy equipment and large trucks clearing debris. I am sure that this beautiful place will recover but it will take some time. The beach is still recovering after hurricane IAN, Collier County added tons and tons of sand to secure the shore line. Recently they planted beach grass to fortify the new dune area. Step for step ....back to its former beauty. The Gulf of Mexico is mostly calm, waves rolling gently ashore, sea birds are foraging for food, once in a while you can see a dolphin or a manatee. There are plenty of seashells, or colorful sea glass to discover(varies within season) . Bring a plastic bag to collect some trash and...

The beach was nice. The problem is paying for the parking. You have to scan a QR code then follow the prompts. Cell phone reception is very spotty there. You have to know your license plate #. By the time you enter your payment info then go back to your rental car to get plate# the session has expired and you have to start over. It was also hard to read the phone screen because of the glaring sun. Multiple people were having the...
