Absolutely stunning in all seasons. There is a sweet little beach in Grimes Cove that is rocky in some places, but has noticeably more sand near or at low tide. We're blessed to be living here year around. There's so many fun things to do in the off season, and regardless of the weather. The solitude of winter is wonderful, yet the community is bustling with activity. And like many of our open spaces, the OP Walk is dog friendly (bags provided). Walking Ocean Point any time of the year awakens the soul and cleanses the mind. We've traveled the world, but this is by far our...

If you visit the Boothbay area of Maine it is well worth the trip out to Ocean Point to experience the beautiful scenery that you will see there. What you see will leave you in awe at how majestic it is, you can see four lighthouses here, three close by and one in the far distance if you know where to look. You can sit on a big rock and listen to the waves of ocean wash in which is mesmerizing. I once years ago saw the northern lights from this point at night which was amazing. There are numerous cottages to rent in this area for a wonderful experience you won't forget...

Wow such a beautiful place. You have to go there if you are visiting that area, Boothbay, Maine. Especially if you like to climb huge rocks! The rocks seem endless, and they border the water! Such a fun time with my husband. I don’t understand why people are giving this only three or four stars, then saying that it’s a short walk?? It’s an entire morning or afternoon walk! I guess they didn’t walk too far on the rocks?! So pay no mind to those reviewers :) You will love this place. Oh and the little beach there...

What a disappointment. All the guide sites tell you, you need to go there, but there are so many more beautiful places to go in the area to climb on rocks and gaze at the ocean. The area is lined by cars on an asphalt road which is unattractive. The trail was not at all maintained and hard find. It kind of appeared and disappeared. Best bet is to walk the rocks a bit, but do yourself a favor and go somewhere else (like the many preserves and land conservancy areas) to experience the unspoiled beauty of the ocean.

Beautiful area. Like other people mentioned, the trail is a bit confusing to find, but I eventually saw where it was on my walk back. It’s at the top near the signs and there’s this little strip that runs along the grass part. It does looks like you’re going through people’s backyards at points but it’s much easier to navigate than climbing on the rocks. The area around here is also super nice to drive around. Definitely recommend! There’s also a little rocky beach area as well.

A great little coastal hike at the southern point of East Boothbay. There is an accomodating parking lot not far from the start of the walk, and if you don't mind rocky beaches, there is also one available. The walk itself has a dirt path (often traversing over adjacent properties), but quickly turns into scrambling over rocks/ledges. The dogs love the adventure! The scenery is beautiful, and you get a great view of Ram Island light.
