My kids have been skiing here for 3 years now with their schools ski club!! Do NOT bring any of your own equipment because they have people who have figured out that Brandywine does not care about your items and there security is crap so thieves go around and take what ever they see of value that they can rob and get away with it! My son left his ski helmet on a bench realized it walked back to the bench and it was gone, stolen!! My daughters boyfriend went for the first day of ski club this year with his brand new $500.00 snow board and it was stolen. Brandywine does not care, they make it very clear they are not responsible for your items, but you are required to leave your skis, snowboard outside and not take in the building for thieves to come along and take. My daughters boyfriend was told it happens all the time that there are at least 10 boards/skis a night on average stolen and they are not responsible and that if the thief is on video it would probably be of no use because you wouldn't be able to see the persons face anyway!! I wonder why so many people get there items stolen from here? I can tell you why the thieves have figured out that they can get away with it!!!!!!!!! Brandywine it doesn't take a genius to figure that out! You have thieves going around taking your customers belongings and you do nothing about it! It really makes me wonder if maybe you have your hand it the pot for the stolen items for profit? I spend the extra money now every year for my kids to have to rent their skis because I refuse to let them take their own for the fear of them being taken! My kids love to ski, I just HATE where they have to ski at to be apart of ski club!! Brandywine was asked to have a check in and check out department for their customers boards and skis so when their customers went in and out of the building no one could take your items but you and Brandywine said no!! They where not interested in keeping their customers items safe from the thieves that go around stealing their customers...
Read moreYou can’t expect that much in Ohio, let’s keep it real. But that doesn’t mean you can’t have some good expectations for a duo ski “resort.” I’ve been snowboarding at BMBW for eight years, and I am really disappointed in what happened to the place. Locals know what I’m getting to. Money, and how much it gets you. A season pass to cedar point, the place with the strongest roller coaster collection of anywhere on the planet, will run you a light $100. That’s for the entire roller coaster season, which spans significantly longer than the winter sports in Ohio. It’s almost as if vaile thinks that this is one of their major resorts. I don’t even care to look at a season pass anymore, and I have all the time in the world to go and snowboard. The other problems we now face are the stupid, stupid pricing of food. It’s expected that food at amusement parks is expensive, but it makes sense because of how cheap getting in is, and the payback you get for simply being there. You can expect to have a fantastic time at an amusement park any day you go there. I’ve had some of the best days with rainy conditions at cedar point. But with winter sports, if the snow conditions are bad you're still paying full price to struggle, and on top of that pay stupidly high amounts for mediocre food. I love the atmosphere we maintain as a community and nobody can stop us from holding that up. There aren’t usually any crazy parents or overly intoxicated people causing discourse and if there is, someone who usually is just a local will shut them down. I’m thankful that vale is trying to make the place better, but they’re just digging themselves further down when they do. Nobody cares about waiting in a freaking line for 5 minutes, that’s part of the fun. Socializing with other people who love to ski or snowboard. We like doing that, vale. Ohio conditions suck for us, at least try to...
Read moreI DO NOT recommend. As a returning costumer this year I was extremely excited to get back on the slopes of Brandywine, but under new management and with corona policies, BMBW is a MESS. I got there at around 4pm, and the first thing I see is a half covered slope, and the snow machines off. Disappointed, I continued over to the line to receive my lift tickets. I WAITED IN LINE FOR 45 MINUTES BEFORE I WAS HELPED, WITH ONLY FIVE COSTUMERS IN FRONT OF ME AND THREE WINDOWS OPEN!! WHAT?? When I finally got up there I gave the person at the desk my order confirmation number and told her I would need to rent a snowboard. After playing on her computer for 5 minutes, she called over two other associates to figure out how to add in snowboard rental to the cost. Finally I had my rental ticket and was off to the rental room. The line was out the door, and when I finally got inside I saw why. As you walk in you can see one employee handing out skis, one handing out snowboards, one handing out information packets for the rentals (which are much more complicated than they were last year) and around 15 employees standing around doing absolutely nothing!! I stood in this line for almost another hour before I decided to give up and go home, as the line had only moved about 15 of the 100 people in front of me. WORST EXPIREINCE OF MY LIFE. I then tried to call to get a refund and no numbers are available. I called three different numbers and they all were a voicemail saying "The phones are busy at this time we will try to contact you within three to five days". And of course per the BMBW website you can only receive a refund before 12pm of the night of your scheduled trip. BMBW is a disaster this year, do not fall into the...
