Went in July of 2025. Trailhead not well marked. When you are looking at the two entrances, take the one to the right for the trail. (We walked all the way to the picnic area because there were no signs to the left.) Probably from 1/2 mile to just over a mile, the trail is very rough. It's almost like they brought some type of vehicle in to widen the trail, but they just left all the debris there, so it's rutted with wheel marks and there are piles of debris. Read moreIt’s not a “gentle” or “easy” trail as suggested. It’s mostly uphill and riddled with tree roots. Throughout the trail is angled/slanted making it difficult on the knees. We went 1-1-25 and it was terribly muddy, near impassible in spots. Definitely waterproof hiking boots needed! The trail is not marked anywhere except for entrance.
