We had a wonderful tea at the Riverview at Hobson Grove mansion along with an interesting tour of the house. We had booked this as a side trip as part of getting to the Corvette Museum 25th anniversary and it was will worth it. The peach ice tea was delicious as was the apple and cinnamon hot tea. My wife had the peach hot tea and that was flavorful as well. The tea sandwiches included chicken salad (outstanding), pimento cheese (tasty), and cucumber and cream cheese (delicious). There were scones with jelly and cream along with assorted desserts. To top it off, the granddaughter of the family who last owned the house was part of the serving staff which was attentive and gracious. The tour was informative and interesting and the view from the functioning cupola was beautiful. We did buy tickets online, and viewing hours are somewhat limited. It is DEFINITELY worth the time! Plenty of...

There are far too few of these houses left and even this one was almost destroyed. Our decent was amazing. She answered all of the groups questions and shared with us many stories of the family. Amazingly there is one surviving member still who is in their 80s and keeps donating things to the museum. I would highly recommend going to see the home. I didn't post too many photos cause you need to go see it...
