This place came up in my Facebook feed. I read the event details and thought that this looked like an event I may be interested in. I read further and I saw they support the "Papers Please" agenda with vaccinations for their event. This is a really bad idea and nobody should support restricting access to individuals for any event or company. I spoke up about it in one of their numerous announcements and was silenced immediately and blocked from commenting on their page. I looked further into their social media and realized that many people agree with me and that the company shot back at them with disparaging remarks and fear mongering. Due to the discrimination and the rude rhetoric or silencing of the company, I cannot support this event.
I just finished writing this review moments ago and the owner of this company wrote back stating I'm spreading misinformation and that my opinion is based on political agenda. I am not spreading misinformation, sir. I am stating the facts that can be seen on your announcement page. My opinion is not based on politics, but on human rights. This is not the way to run a business and not how to respond to reviews or...
Read moreI have always supported this little venue until now. The guy who runs it orders that anyone going needs to show vaccination cards. Boston, New York and Rhode Island Comic Cons which are about 100x bigger only required masks. When you try to discuss this with him he sicks his social media buddies on you calling you names and harassing you. I sat back and watched this venue attack other people nonstop because of their choices. Extremely unprofessional! This venue was always way over priced for what it is, but I try to support small business whenever I can. This one won't see my money again! Regardless of whatever your stance is politically or on covid vaccinations as a small business owner you shouldn't treat your customers amd bully them the way this guy does! Name calling, talking down on and trolling...
Read moreMy favorite Con in New England! I don't really enjoy Boston fan expo it's too commercial and difficult to navigate, NECC offers me more of what I'm looking for amazing independent vendors with actual vintage merch rather than 6000 pop figures. What they lack in flashy current Blockbuster celebs they make up for in the interesting unique cult film stars. My only issue is that there is a real lack of food options. I'm a vegetarian and the options aren't great for non vegetarians much less for someone with food restrictions. Even with that I will always make an effort to go! Thanks for the thought that goes into putting...
