Hereâs a five-star review for Perico Preserve in Bradenton, FL, written in a natural and enthusiastic tone:
I canât say enough good things about Perico Preserve in Bradenton! This place is an absolute gem for anyone who loves nature, peace, and a great walk. The 1.5-mile loop trail is perfectâeasy enough for all ages but still feels like a little adventure with its winding paths, boardwalks, and stunning views of the bayou. The wildlife here is incredible; Iâve spotted white pelicans, herons, egrets, and even jumping mullet in the waterâitâs like a front-row seat to natureâs show! The preserve is beautifully maintained, with thoughtful touches like swings along the trail and picnic tables near the parking lot. Itâs clear a lot of love has gone into restoring this spot, and itâs quickly become one of my favorite places to unwind. No dogs or bikes allowed, which keeps it serene and focused on the birds and scenery. If youâre in Bradenton, do yourself a favor and visit Perico Preserveâyou wonât be disappointed! Five stars all the way. Amy Jones, local real estate broker with...
Read moreThat is one of the ideal places to go walk for sure. There is wildlife there so be careful. On my outing there we did see a turtle đ˘ and some other creatures.
The trail is very convenient. If you want a small walk it does like a little loop I need you back out. Or you can take a medium walk or a long or even a longer walk. That choice is up to you
Yes you can bring your bike and ride on the trails. There are some areas you will not be allowed in with your bike. However there is an area where you can use the bike rack unlock your bike up and explore that area if you wish to.
It's free we didn't buy a ticket we didn't see any places to buy tickets so don't enjoy a wonderful day. Oh yeah there are areas where you can have a picnic there...
Read moreWe took our bikes and even though biking is not allowed on all of the trails there is a wonderful winding forested part and a straight flat section that was very enjoyable. Perfect for young children. Can't miss the photo opp at the fallen tree. There are signs and racks next to the sections for walking only. It is not a large preserve, a very easy hike, and stroller friendly. Several different types of birds to see and areas to watch without spooking them. No tortoise sightings but the mullet jumping out of the pond were really fun and silly to watch. My daughter really liked the swinging benches and "really nice fluffy flowers". They were...
