Plenty of parking. Trails were well-marked. Maps available. Dog friendly. Fishing is allowed with permit.

The pond has quite a bit of algae so I wouldn't recommend that you take your dog swimming, but there are some streams that are pretty clear.

Be careful though, remember there is quite a bit of fishing, so there may be some old hooks stuck in the rocks in the water, though I haven't encountered any yet.

Overall, a nice quiet place to take the family for a stroll...

Pretty park around a pond, 5 mins off I-95. Makes for a nice pit stop or a picnic spot. There quite a few drive-off spots if you wanted to park by the road and go for a short stroll. Saw folks with their fishing equipment as well and a few picnickers. Might be a good idea to have a mosquito repellant at hand, there were quite a bugs in the neighborhood. Overall makes for a better spot for rest than a...

Great complex of trails! There are lots of awesome trails here mostly easier to moderate difficulty. There are multiple lakes that are all very scenic. You can fish and kayak in the lakes, and it’s a popular spot for both. One of the islands is a bird sanctuary which makes for a great bird watching spot. The trails are very well maintained, and for the most part just wider flat trails with a few...

Head out on this 2.3-mile loop trail near Branford, Connecticut. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 47 min to complete. This is a very popular area for birding, fishing, and hiking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The best times to visit this trail are March through January. Dogs are welcome and may be off-leash in some areas.
