417 Hair and Nail Studio — Attraction in Branson West

The longer I look the more irritated I am. When I went in for a TRIM I knew my hair was damaged, in rough shape. I told the little girl I wanted to keep it as long as possible, that 3-4 inches off the bottom would be okay. Explained that I’m autistic and a creature of habit that it has to be long enough to put in a low bun because I wear my hair the same way every day. She chopped atleast 7 inches off. It went from the mid/lower section of my back to right at the tops of my shoulders. I can’t get it in the bun I always wear and that will cause high levels of overstimulation for me for the next 6-9 months while it grows back. Not to mention it’s not even or straight! On top of everything else I think it was all done in error because after the very first slice of the scissors she made a comment that if she cut it shorter than expected the good news is it’ll grow back, like she knew she was cutting shorter than we talked about and didn’t care. I had an appointment booked for a cut and style yesterday with Alyssa. She called and told me they were not open due to a broken water pipe. I understood, of course. She rebooked me for today. I asked that she call me if something happened and they were not back to normal. I did not receive a call, but when I showed up for my appointment this morning, the owner was there. I told the her that I had an appointment with Alyssa. She said that they were closed and she hadn’t talked to Alyssa. Then she turned around. I would hope if I were a business owner I would have offered to call Alyssa or in some way to satisfy the customer. They lost me as a customer for not just hair but...

Worst pedicure of my life. Moody nail lady, “dated” color selection … and simply not thoroughly done… she didn’t even press when she was using the tool to get off the dead skin- which you can see is still very visible in the photos. The woman did what I asked after I pointed out imperfections, but she did give me major attitude… shaking her head. I mean the photos speak for themselves: bad shape and polish not thick or to the edges of the nails… There are also no dryers for afterwards… Could have done it better myself. Bummer. Not worth $50. Too bad this is the only nail salon in the area....
