This attraction opened in 2014 - 8 years ago. The entrance is attractive and well maintained. The same cannot be said for the interior dinosaur exhibits. The walkway snakes through a large densely shaded area. Two (2) of the exhibits no longer exist and a empty pad remains where the statue was. Those that remain are very shabby, terribly faded and missing parts. The brochure shows a baby T Rex in a broken egg, in the process of being born. There is no longer a baby T Rex. Other exhibits are missing different parts: teeth. broken ears, tail ends missing, pieces of spikes, plates, arms and toes. The descriptive narratives appear to be correct. The exit is through a covered wooden building that has several smaller animated animals, one is a raptor.. This is what the children will remember. It will frighten the smaller children and this is what they will remember and talk about. And possibly give them bad dreams. The gift shop is well stocked and over priced. Admission prices are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and $8 for children. Food and beverages are for sale; the facilities can accommodate parties. It hosted 2 the day we were there which was the middle of the week. One would think, with the apparent amount of business it generates, the major exhibits could be maintained as well as the rest of the play area for the children. It is, after all, only...
Read moreA cool idea in theory and maybe someone was passionate about it at one point but our experience was kinda lackluster.
At a $12 per person ticket I was expecting much more than a very short walk. With a paved walkway the walk and reading the plaques was about 20 minutes.
The dinosaurs were impressive in size which was cool for my 2 year old to see but some were very damaged and not terribly well taken care of. A few had their heads bashed in by falling branches or destructive attendees (I assume).
Again with $12 admission and with what I would assume are low overhead expenses I was expecting much nicer attractions.
There were Christmas lights strewn everywhere, tossed about. Clearly thousands of dollars had been spent on these and not the damaged dinosaurs. Maybe the Christmas lights at night are very nice? But we were there during the day.
The plaques with factoids about the dinosaurs were super fun but there were also quite a few typos. While that doesn't necessarily take away from the entertainment they bring the errors were distracting. Again....$12 per person could get you an editor for a few paragraphs.
While it was a nice outing for my 2 year old I cannot see the worth in returning any time soon. I hope they make improvements so I will want to...
Read moreSuper great time here! Perfect Jurrasic theme! We have the biggest 12 year old dinosaur lover in our group and surprised him with this trip. He absolutely loved it! Some of the dinosaurs on the trail could use some TLC, but the kids didn't notice one bit, and were still thrilled! More people should go here so we can all help invest in giving the dino's a face-lift! 😀 Mrs. Theresa and her husband are the sweetest people and totally hooked us up by putting Blue out in the gift shop for our dinosaur boy! We would've loved to have spent more time here and gone through the trail again, but we had gotten there later then planned and then our group got a bit sidetracked at the arcade place that we hadn't known was next door, and we missed our window to head back over before they closed. Even with the laser tag and bumper cars and games and such at the place next door, not only the dinosaur connoisseur in our group, but several other kids as well, still said the dinosaur park was the best part of the day! That should tell you all you need to know right there! Thank you so much, Mrs. Theresa (and your husband, who's name I didn't catch!) for going above and beyond to make our experience so wonderful! We appreciate y'all so much! We definitely...
