We discovered this place on accident. We were traveling to another establishment and drove by CT USA. We come to Breaux Bridge every year for the crawfish festival all the way from Kentucky. We try hard to immerse ourselves into the local culture and to support the local establishments when considering our food options. Normally we only eat someplace on Friday night and Sunday morning. However, after seeing this place, and reading the reviews, we left the festival and drove to Henderson just to try it out. Let me start by saying I come from a family who owned a restaurant for 24 years so I have really high standards! This place was packed, however the dining rooms were able to accommodate the patrons so that you didn’t have the feeling of being crowded. We each ordered an appetizer. He had oysters and I had crab claws. These were the biggest oysters we have had this year! They were sweet and clean!!! Very , very good and priced right! The crab claws we cooked to perfection!! Just a pinch of spicy to them added the perfect combination! For the main course I had the ribeye and he had the 2lb crawfish. The ribeye is one of the best I have ever had!!!!!!! It is an aged cut of beef, and it was worth it. On the crawfish, this is the only negative. They were cooked and served exactly as they should have been. The negative is that you get nothing else. They are served ala cart. Which is a little unorthodox for crawfish eaters. We like the corn and potatoes. For us, we would prefer to receive a couple pieces of corn or potatoes with it and price it accordingly then to have nothing at all. Our waitress was young, and my guess inexperienced. She did not take our plates away or refill our drinks, but I think once she learned the trade that will fix itself. Overall, this was a fabulous meal. One of the best of the weekend!! On a scale of 1-10 I...
Read moreYesterday was my first time to this resturant and I WILL NEVER BE BACK. The service I was given was horrible. My food was not the best. I ordered the celebration pasta, took two bites and pushed my plate. I also placed the crab cake on a separate plate prior to eating & mixed my pasta to get more cheese. I told the waiter my food wasn’t good to my liking, she said 2 times she would get the manager and never did. She then asked if I wanted to order something else but said I would have to pay for it “ RUDE”. I became upset at this point & went find the manager myself, the manager requested the food back & looked at my plate disrespectfully as if I cleaned the plate. She then stated the waiter lied and said I ate half the plate “ Wasn’t True” & so rude to lie . I was with co workers celebrating & had 2 full tables of witnesses see me push my plate & asked if it wasn’t good. The manger then asked what school I work at & said oh yea yall do need a good meal as in the school is rough to work at & that her son went there & how rough it was. Still never offered me a new cooked meal in place of the price& her focus was on the wrong thing , I told her the least she could do was $5 off , she agreed after staring at the plate longer, I try not to pull race cards but don’t stare at a plate looking confused as if I was trying to get out of paying my meal “ $ isnt the issue” the rude customer service was - I and a few of my co workers stated we will never be back. Please train your managers & waiters on how to treat people. It was upsetting working all day & leaving on an empty stomach not being offered a new meal for the same...
Read moreWe had our first experience at this restaurant last Friday. We were the only customers at the time, about 3:30, as the party and other customers were leaving as we were being seated. We felt surely our food would be fresh and hot. We ordered the seafood platter. The fries were cold, the stuffed shrimp filling and the crab broulette both had unusual, sour tasting aftertastes, like something in the mixture was spoiled. My husband's favorite thing was the coleslaw on the seafood platter 🙄 We love seafood, but we were very disappointed with the meal. Between 2 adults, we didn't like it enough to even finish the seafood. We each tasted a shrimp, tasted the 2 stuffed items, and I ate my piece of fish because it tasted okay but my husband left the batter of his piece because he found it too greasy. It was supposed to be fresh, but seemed more likely frozen, thawed, fried. The fried shrimp were chewy. We each tried one and left the rest. We informed the waiter, Trevor and he just said that he was sorry. He offered us a to go box because so much was left. We'd just said we didn't like it 🤨 No offer to reduce the bill or anything. I was going to speak with a Mgr but we were running late on our trip and my husband doesn't like confrontation. After the reviews we had read/heard, we were extremely disappointed. I don't recommend this restaurant at all. Food wasn't good, wasn't even all hot. The waiter didn't seem to care that we thought the food was very lacking to say the least. 😞😞 Also, the posted menu wasn't accurate. The seafood platter was $24 vs $22, and the oysters are now extra money and not included as...
