Well-kept trail with interesting information about mining practices and the remains of the effects on the environment. We only did out and back from the dredge because we had a toddler with us. (Definitely a kid friendly hike that’s less busy than trails in town.) Mostly sun exposed with shady spots here and there so make sure to bring sunscreen and water.    Read moreThe trailhead was easy to find and there was ample room for parking. The trail was gentle and would be easy for most types of hikers. However, it was a little muddy on our May 21 hike. We encountered several patches of snow and these were often knee high. But the path is beautiful and scenery is very nice. I would describe them as rolling woodlands. The trail is a bit confusing to navigate, we used the ALL TRAILS APP and downloaded the trail, which saved us a ton of time not getting lost, lol.
