We decided to snow shoe one day on vacation due to cold temps. After purchasing a groupon and calling to confirm they had room for our 5 people we showed up only to find out they did not have enough snowshoes to fit us in the guided tour. One of the ladies working there named Deb was very helpful and we were able to go out about an hour later on our own which was fine. The other woman working the counter named Priscilla was extremely rude and should not be in any kind of customer service. The trail we went on along the creek up to an old mill was very pleasant but it was a hard groomed trail and would have been more enjoyable without snowshoes. I had a fantastic time at Gold Run Nordic Center! The trails were well-maintained and absolutely beautiful, making for an unforgettable day. After my class, I loved being able to enjoy the free apple cider inside—it was such a nice touch and a perfect way to warm up.
I took a cross-country skiing class with Nathan, and he was incredible. Nathan is not only super knowledgeable and friendly, but he also explained everything so clearly that it was easy to follow along, even as a beginner. His enthusiasm and passion for teaching really stood out, and he went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. He even gave me hand warmers to keep warm during class—thank you, Nathan!
Overall, it was an amazing experience. Great instructor, great trails, and a welcoming atmosphere....

I had never cross-country skied before, so decided to sign up for the group lessons. Not only were they reasonably priced, but it was a great entry lesson and my instructor, Nathan, was fantastic--he went out of his way to tailor the lesson to how I learned best and what I wanted to focus on once I got the basics down. And from what I understand, this is pretty normal for them...they try to split up the group lessons into smaller sections so everyone gets the attention they need. It was really really great.
