My son and I were walking the trail 11/6/2021 around 10:30 am. We parked in the entrance across from Bremen hs, walked the trail and crossed the 2nd entrance and as we were going up the hill we see a buck deer. We paused and turned and walked away but the buck started chasing us. I was so terrified that my stomach was to the floor and I thought he was going to attack us. Thankfully he finally fell back and went in the woods. We had to cross the street and walk down pulaski to get back to my car. Midlothian meadows need to put up warning signs about aggressive buck deer before someone is seriously...

Normally my Midlothian Meadows experience is a 4-5 Star rating. Tuesday July 13 2021 was not that way. There was a crew maintaining the grounds. One crew member was considerate of the walkers, as we walked he stopped cutting until we cleared his position, however there was another one who cut grass as we tried to walk the trail. After he cut the we had to fight mosquitoes.... It was as if the mosquitoes were attacking us. It was so bad we had to leave the trail and walk down Pulaski back to the parking lot to our car.... Today we are nursing our wounds with Neosporin and...

I have never been there but I heard stories about this place on social media. I'm not trying to spoil everybody recreational fun. By all means enjoy yourselves. But please do not walk alone, always be with someone. Last November a young girl was out jogging with her family member. They somehow split up. The young lady was walking along someone came up from behind her . Grabbed her from behind pulled up in those woods rapped and killed her. This happen in Midlothian Meadow's Forest Preserve.. Be safe and don't be alone. They have not caught this guy yet...

We like the Forest Preserve trails, and wanted to branch out a little from our routine. This was a pleasant and easy walk. We were on the north side near the railroad. The weather was a little iffy, so we didn't go far. But even though we could hear the nearby traffic on road and rail, we felt like we were in deep woods. We will come back!

A good 3 mile loop with changing scenery. The only downside is you can always hear the cars driving by at certain spots on the trail. Paved paths. No changing slopes. Plenty of parking.
