There are many things in life within which we do addmittably regret from time to time. About thirty minutes ago I experienced one those situations. I walked into this welcome center to utilize the facilities and instantly regretted having not brought my phone along on what turned out to be an amazing surprise. From the exit ramp off the highway to the ramp returning to the highway, it is clearly evident that someone has invested a considerable amount of hours in designing this welcome center. The personnel who staff this facility treat you with respect and make your brief visit hospitable and as comfortable as possible. It is also evident that this establishment is held to a high standard of cleanliness. There are displays on the walls where their outstanding performance from multiple years is showcased for everyone to admire. Great work to everyone who is associated in any aspect or capacity of this...

Every welcome center regardless of its home state has its own unique charm. Some are better than others, some have more information, some have cleaner bathrooms, and some have an actual 24 hour staff that makes the visitor feel welcome. This is on of those centers that has a little bit of everything. Clean bathrooms, good available visitor information, and 24 hour staff that are actually trying to do a good job. There is plenty of parking including handicapped spaces right at the front. There is even a large picnic space for those that want to take a break from the cross country drive. Its not perfect, but stopping here will not be one...

I am a team truck driver. Your sorry rent a cop wouldn't let us switch drivers safely inside the rest area even though I wasn't blocking anyone. He came to the window and at first he didn't say anything. So I'm like yes he goes you can't park here. Mind you I'm on the curve so yes I do know I can't park here, but also I'm not in the way of people going by. I told him I'm not parking just switching drivers. He goes yes you are the truck is parked and it's not moving. Well sir if I wanted to switch while driving down the interstate I would have never...

The Rest Area attendant and tourist center doesn't allow you to use the public grill. Not a family friendly place. If you want to grill, bring a table top grill and make a huge mess on the picnic table behind building where grill is. State Police was called, trooper ok with using grill but since the tourist ladies in building complained public grill was trying to burn building down, trooper said they could go full KAREN. The guy in the yellow was their security.

The rest stop itself is amazing. Very clean, very nice. The RV dump however, is the nastiest dump we’ve been too. There is just a grate with all the sewage clumped and trapped on top. No hole to place your sewer connection into, just lay it on the ground next to the grate and let it all flow where it flows. I wouldn’t recommend using the RV dump unless you absolutely need it.

The Alabama welcome center off interstate 20 on the border with Georgia, is probably the cleanest most well maintained rest area i have ever been to. The attendants were very nice. The bathrooms, well I'm just going to say it, I would definitely compare it to Buc-ee's as far as cleanliness and being stocked.. I was impressed to say the least. Keep it up Alabama
