Worst experience ever my family and I went to this beach each paid $40 and mines for out of state plates paid $60. When we got there my boyfriend had his music on his car and this cop comes up to him with a badge saying he is off duty with his family at the beach but he patrols the house behind them and the people that live there are rich people and they always complaining about loud music to turn it down. We had just got there we weren't even finished unloading the things off the cars. So we shut it of took all the things out the car and then we had music on our portable speaker until it died. Then we turned the music on the car it wasn't even loud the volume goes up to 30 and it was on 8 because the table we were at was next to where our cars were. Then another cop pulls up in front of our car comes out with an attitude to shut the music off. My boyfriend tell him that is not even loud and he says that he needs to shut it off that no one is allowed to have music on and the he will give him a chance like he gives to everyone if he comes back and the music is on then him, his car and his whole family have to leave the beach. A few cars down was another family with music on and also told them to shut it off. We had lifeguards driving thru the whole time. Never complained about the music after we stopped them and asked the lifeguards about the music because there is no signs that said anything about music playing. We asked to see if they were any rules and they said no that people are always playing music there on their cars and very loud and that they dont have any rules when it comes to that. This is the crazies thing I've ever heard. I pay all this money to get harrassed by cops because I asked people around us if the music was loud and they said no or if they felt uncomfortable they said no. Not only this place is a rip off with the amount of money we paying to get in but everyone contradicts themselves. I will never go to this beach ever again and if you are Hispanic you shouldn't go either unless u want to get harrassed by law...
Read moreI walked up a distance from the parking lot to the restroom holding my pee. They said they're gonna close 7:30pm and I was there 7:27pm and they refused bathroom privileges already. I understand that they have to clean up and prolly they wanna go home right away or clock out at exactly 7:30 but if that would be the case, then they should've not told people that they won't let anybody in at an earlier time and not 7:30 if we're being technical. They even had time to argue with me for 5 minutes which I could've been used for restroom already. Nasty words were said like "Lady, you're just gonna mess up in there we just done cleaning!" and the look on their faces were very condescending.
They even had to push me out and drive me out with their behind and their cleaning mops!!! Names accdg to them were Ali and Lydia and they refused to give out their last names since my husband came back and asked for it. He couldn't believe I was treated that way and so I am giving this review.
Why would they do that?! That was an unacceptable behavior!!! Why do they even have to be mean in the first place?? They don't deserve their jobs! I never thought I would ever be treated like that by my fellow women, in a restroom, in a public restroom, which we pay for, which is still open.
We're not paying fees just for us to be treated that way let alone be refused of something we were even entitled to in the first place.
It was a horrible experience and I hope you do...
Read moreThe most beautiful park and beach in the area and historical too!!!There is even a bicycle lane for cyclists. We often take our bicycles here and ride along the water. I love to collect shells and sit on the beach in summer months and relax. Sometimes on a winter day I will drive along the coastline enjoying the views of Long Island Sound and watch the ferries travelling back and forth to Port Jefferson,NY. and Bpt. I especially enjoy seeing the many seagulls flying or huddling on the beach searching for food. As you drive through the park you will notice that there are statues and structures with historical significance, and different points of interest along the way. A favorite spot is "The Point", found at the very end of the park. People park there just to look out, and also to hang out and enjoy the area. A beachsticker is needed in summer months from Memorial Day through Labor Day that can be purchased at the entrance, and is free the rest of the year for anyone. Out of towners can purchase a sticker but it isn't cheap and Bridgeport residents purchase at a modest price that's affordable for everyone. Many people picnic here as there is areas for that. There are bathrooms and a concession area as well. During the summer there has been special concert events, parades, carnivals, festivals, and fireworks. Famous P.T.Barnum, who once called this his home, left all the land to the people and city of Bridgeport to be...
