Was excited to take my friend out for his second time ever golfing. I paid $70 for 18 holes with a tee time of 5:52 p.m. We were notified that the carts needed to be returned at 8:50 p.m. On top of that there is the $10 park entry fee so I ended up paying $80 for this trip total. Don't get me wrong. The first 9 holes were quite fun aside from the fact that they felt pretty narrow. Granted, neither my friend or I are pros. So we ended up losing around six or so balls in the tall grass just outside of the green. Yes, I know that is a skill issue but going back to the timing. We were rushing as there were people behind us waiting and there were people in front of us playing. The tee times are way too close together. We got to hole 10 at 8:30. Skipped 11 as it was bigger and we wanted to keep playing. Played hole 12 as it was small but far away from the cart return. We brought our cart back at 8:45 as we were feeling generous and didn't want to keep anyone waiting. The cart return guy was quite rude and made a few snobby remarks towards my friend and I. $80 to play 11 holes and be left with a sour taste in your mouth. Not worth it. Will not...
Read moreAbsolutely awful experience for a course I’ve played many times. Pouring down rain today 15 minutes before our tee time, so we ask for a rain check, they deny us the rain check stating that they only do rain checks if they shut the entire course down (they should have). They also state that cancellations need to be made 24 hours prior to the round because we took up the tee time (we made the tee time within the last 16 hours so we weren’t really taking a tee time from anybody. Due to the rain pouring down for 2 straight hours, golfers throughout the front 9 are obviously taking breaks and taking shelter to avoid being drenched (they also probably asked for rain checks and were denied.) so after the first 4 holes going by swiftly due to people just eating the $50 and leaving, the following 5 holes took about 2 hours by themselves. There were 3 4somes on every single hole. I will do not plan on going back...
Read moreWe were aggressively approached by a Ranger telling us we were moving too slow and holding up the course for other golfers. There was no one behind us and we had to wait on two groups ahead of us. A group of 4 of us and we finished in 4 hours and 10 minutes. Right on pace the entire time.
Really disconcerting when you’re trying to get into the game of golf and a guy ruins the game for new golfers to tell them to go faster when you’re trying to learn. That guy did not have to be a jerk about it. It really felt as though the guy was going to jump out the cart and attack us. We didn’t talk about or anything. Just gave him a respectful, “yes sir” as to show we will do as he told us.
I hope course management reads this and tries to reach out to me about this experience to see what happened or how they can try rectifying what happened. Very...
