Went here with my fiancé and had a great time but recommend bringing a tennis racket lol. There is a wildlife feeding problem and a lot of the animals are a little aggressive. Hilariously the chipmunks and squirrels were trying to come at us while we were exploring. Less hilariously some blue black and white little birds apparently felt threatened when I was videoing as we were walking by and one started dive bombing us and chasing us down the path. We either encountered him 3 separate times, or there were 3 of the same type of bird along the path coming after us at different times in the walk. Not terrifying per se, but not exactly fun. Otherwise a beautiful walk. :)

I’ve been coming here for over 15 years. Love that I can bring others to enjoy it as well. The animals are friendly but of course give them space for respect.

Place to go for a great outdoors experience. Excellent bike trails, nature trails, kayaking, boating, beach and picnic shelters! Bike trail is a big loop of 8+ miles and has a few challenging uphills, but otherwise very easy and paved and the way. Couple of boardwalks along the way. It also connects to island lake state park via a bike trail. The nature trail has long stretches of unpaved trails through the woods and it's shady under the trees most of the way. Birds will sit on your hands if you bring seeds for them and critters will follow up to clean up whatever falls on the ground. Plenty of clean bathrooms spread around the park as well.

Heard of this place from my mom, looked on Google maps, saw a ton of trails throughout, and we ventured off!!

This place is HUGE! So many paths to take, tons of runners and bikers out there, and Waterview for days!

We managed to get in about 7 miles of walking before we decided we should go get some lunch.

Cost is $10 to get in, with a ton of cool activities that I can see that goes on throughout the seasons, it looked as if there was a waterside in here, places to rent kayaks, toboggan, boat rides, fishing, ice skating, disk golfing and more.

If you're an outdoor enthusiasts, it's worth the $10! Not too crowded this time of year and with as many acres this place has, there's tons of room to roam around.

Pets are allowed, just not at the beach or nature trail. Plenty of other trails for your puppers to walk, we brought our dog, and he...

Loved the rookery and boardwalk! The WildWing trail around the lake is lightly travelled and has a few hills and lookouts. The smaller birds, especially the Chickadees, came very close to ask us for seed, which we neglected to bring the first visit. (The nature center staff said they would begin selling birdseed in Oct 2021, however.) On the second visit, we brought bird seed, but the other trails were more travelled and a bit noisier, so the birds didn't seem to be as interested. Highly recommend WildWing trail! Red-tailed hawk in captivity behind the Nature Center. The Nature Center is also a nice stop. Restrooms are clean and available in...
