PARKING LOT'S: Need vast improvement as in more gravel or paved. BATHROOMS: Pee-eeeU! Each bathroom needs 'AUTO-AIR FILTRATION & SPRAY UNITS' available commercially and I just recently saw being used in a Kingsport TN retailers bathroom....small, unobtrusive, attractive, filter & air spray units along top of walls which I coined it to be 'THE 7TH HEAVEN BATHROOM', LOL! No lingering stinky-poo odours upon entry‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️ FOR THE ELDERLY INSTALLMENT OF BATHROOM FACILITIES NEEDS TO BETWEEN SOME TABLE LOCATIONS for expedient incontinence plagued Elder's and Patients. Read moreLove this park. Clean, safe, well maintained. There’s a $2.00 entry charge (or you can purchase a membership…well worth it) with multiple parking lots. The staff at the entry/exit gate are extremely friendly, pleasant, and helpful. This place is huge (over 2k acres if I recall correctly) so be sure to get a map upon entry. Great place to hike, hike with dog, bike, paddle boat, kayak, fish….Great for families, especially with children, with plenty of activities. Picnic areas (both under pavilion and without pavilion), grills for cooking out and picnic tables are amply spaced to allow for plenty of room between other picnickers. A nice creek runs through the picnic area and is a very harmonious atmosphere. There are bike trails of both gravel, asphalt base, and mountainous. It’s an easy hike or ride through the park and along the lake taking the Lakeside Trail. The fall foliage has been breathtaking this year. Whether you’re visiting with kids, friends, or alone, there’s much to see and do and enjoy nature and tranquility, as you choose. Update 6/14/2025-The only negative is, while biking or hiking along the Lakeside Trail, you occasionally run across those select folks in their on little world (THAT 1% out of the 99% of multitudes)-couples swooning with one another in the middle of the trail (while I enjoy love and happiness… please! get off the trail or get a room)…groups lost in transit in their on little world (please be mindful of the space your bodies require when you bunch-up and extend your masses horizontally, thus disallowing hikers/bikers to safely pass you)…folks with children who, believe it or not, remove their children’s shoes/socks, park the strollers in the middle of the trail, to get into the water and leave them scattered in the middle of the trail (God bless each of you) please be mindful of others safety and pick their shoes/socks up and move your strollers off the trail to prevent hikers/bikers from having accidents via tripping or throwing the bike or trying to dodge and avoid the surprise of a a variety of items in the middle of the trail, etc.). Those of us who visit Steele Creek Park obviously love it and frequently stop and socialize harmoniously. Let’s just make sure to be considerate of one another’s safety along the trail while...
