Nienhuis Park — Attraction in Broken Arrow

Great park with many different options for people to choose activities. Kids play area is on the smaller side with not many swings or monkey bars but there is benches. Unfortunately, there is not much shade at all where the benches are. There is a nice big skate park, again- not much shade at all for visitors to enjoy watching skaters or benches. There are basketball courts, tennis courts, sand volleyball ball courts with a fountain, a water park, and trails for walkers. I love the trails but I wish the city would focus on more benches and shade. There are not many tree-filled areas on the trails so it can get pretty hot with little ones. There is one bench on the southern part of the trail and it is so high up kids cannot sit on it. It would be nice to have a lower bench to sit on with your kids or sit while feeding your baby, preferably under a tree. There's a real nice pond with some trees but no benches. There is only one trash can and sometimes people leave trash behind but usually the park is pretty clean. I also wish there was at least one bathroom somewhere! Maybe at the stadium they could open up the bathrooms in it for joggers and walkers. All in all it is a pretty clean and...

Big park for recreational activities. Basketball court and skate park. Swings sets for toddlers and up. Playground is nice, could use more sets like monkey bars. Wood chipped for safe landing. Crowd isn't too bad. People are courteous of space. Picnic area with Picnic tables. There's also available benches....

Park needs better signage. Who is using what area when and what hours. What teams are on what fields. Concession stands need more servers and quicker service. Football stands are too small to seat the number of attendees. For visitors the park is a mess especially...
