Arizona Beach — Attraction in Brookings

The ocean is on the right, turn left to Arizona Beach. What? Go ahead and try it. It’s worth it. Note: the trestle under 101 is 13’ 6”. Camp hosts, restrooms, very clean, easy free parking. Great tide pool. Walk to either end of the very large tide pool, or oh heck go right through it. The kids may never make it to the beach! Note: some sand is deep if that hinders you. Great place to spend the day. Picnic tables and fishing.

Growing up we camped here OFTEN! You could camp all the way down where you can park for a day used now, and there was sites all over. There used to be bingo at the building on the way in and a pop machine that would only take dimes. There is no overnight camping allowed here, but I wish there was. This is a place to enjoy the ocean as it meets the shore. Nice parking area, pit toilets, and on the midweek day in early June we were there almost deserted. My exchange student and I walked the beach and watched the waves.
