I stopped by Cape Sebastian for the great views at one of the highest points on the Oregon Coast at about 700 feet.
You can see Humbug Mountain and Gold Beach to the North and Crescent City to the South.
A steep three mile trail takes you down to Hunters Cove with a series of switchbacks as you descend down to a step drop with a rope to the beach.
You can hike the first part of the trail if you are short on time and want to see the great views of the rugged coastline.

Fairly steep and moderate difficulty trail. If you're brave enough, you can take a mountain bike down the trail (I did but beware of sharp turns, rootwads, steep sections, and uneven ground!) if you're prepared to crash a few times. Mostly forest hiking, a few nice ocean views. Bring a flashlight if you plan on being there anywhere close to dark; you...
