Ophir Wayside - Oregon State Parks — Attraction in Brookings

Nice place to stop and see the ocean with pretty easy access. There are rest rooms with running water to wash your hands after the beach. Then you can sit down at one of the picnic tables and have a snack or whatever you bring with you [not sure about alcohol] while you're enjoying the beautiful views. Great parking area for whatever you're driving. There's two entrances so you don't have to worry about turning around in the lot. If it's leagel to drive on the highway, then you can get in and out. This stop has easy access and parking for just about any vehicle and clean bathrooms. This is a great place to stop for a picnic, to play in the sand, get the dogs out to stretch, or just watch the waves crash for a while. Great under rated spot. Pull off Hwy, has bathroom which is up kept and clean. Beach is nice, just a short walk, less than a block down a sandy bath. The sand does get extremely hot on the path. Great place if you looking for rocks that was ashore. My kids love looking for the different...
