Samuel H. Boardman is hands down one of the most stunning coastal locations in Oregon, especially for couples looking for a dramatic elopement backdrop. Rugged cliffs, towering sea stacks, and hidden coves make this stretch of coastline absolutely unreal. Plus, you don't have the crowds like you do at Cannon Beach!
While Secret Beach is no longer much of a secret (real talk, cars park alongside Highway 101 in the summer at times because the parking area fits only about 8 cars and it's a small beach), there are still plenty of named and unnamed areas to explore if you’re willing to venture a little further. Some spots require a short hike, while others are easy to access, making it a great place for any kind of adventure elopement.

I’d advise to bring a flashlight if going late, and possibly some pepper spray...there seems to be some indentations in the vegetation that made me think homeless people may sleep there at night, but it also had a super spooky corridor of trees that made me quicken my pace. So pepper spray for that area mainly. Though the hike was uneventful in that sense, and rather beautiful to the top through some fields...
