Stopped by today on my trip from Seattle to California. I followed the sign to one of the south bound designated parking lot. What a disappointment.
Trail leading towards the west side of the bridge towards the ocean was HORRIBLE. Poorly marked (only the trailhead from the parking lot is marked) and very slippery - easy to lose your way as a result.
Youâre on your own following down a very steep trail, and when you finally get to a vantage point to see the bridge (this is the best part), itâs a boring steel bridge with no distinguishing features or personality.
And your views are so obstructed by trees that you canât take a good picture of the bridge. If you havenât slipped and fallen off many cliffs near the clearings, youâll be lucky to find yourself back to the parking lot and your car.
I donât know if drones are allowed near this ugly bridge, but thatâs the only way to get a full view of this metal clunker. Skip it and enjoy other superior views along the US...

The 2 other "trails" access to the coast trail and beach viewpoint of the bridge were steep washed out and slippery thought it was dry and if you try it wear treaded shoes and be careful. We didn't have the right shoes and we both took a rough slide to safety. Had a laugh about it but it could have been a bad tumble down to the beach. Next time I prepare and will try it. I thought this was an arch bridge. Just a very tall tower holds it's...

We were gone about 10 minutes and returned to find our car window smashed in by a big rock. Luckily nothing valuable stolen, but delayed our trip and cost $400 for a new window! Probably just some local tweekers. Not a safe...
