Expansive. You can reserve pavilions and are always booked. Summer parking is rough. But is low rent in most of the draw. The skate park and basketball courts are mobbed leaving the central playground to be mobbed by parents mailing it in with toddlers and just older. The bike path is heavily used but the walkers have no clue to stay to the right. Very few bikers use this place. Those that do are children from parents that give them zero instructions. No baseball fields. No football or soccer. It's a strange park with little identity. Still, Delaware has few places to go and be outside. Pleanty too do here, play ground, walk/run/bike path, basketball court, skate park, pavilions, bark park and fish pond for catch and release only. Lots of open space for parties, flying kites, throwing the football, corn hole, or just letting the kids run. In the winter the big hill is great for sledding. Close too Governor Square, Fox Run Shopping Center, People's Plaza Elkton MD and Interstate 95. One of the play areas is specifically set up for individuals with autism - it is fenced in, has different textures on the ground, equipment that spins and swings, climbing surfaces, etc. There are ample paths and covered tables for picnics.
