2025 UPDATE: The system had been acting up and frequently stopped working properly. I tried a few of Erik’s suggestions—he was always quick to return my calls and emails. Since I live out of state, I drove back to have him take a closer look. He immediately made time for me, thoroughly inspected the unit, and reassured me that he would either fix it or replace it entirely—a huge relief for someone who lives 15 hours away.

In the end, he fixed the issues, carefully reviewed every possible cause, and either updated, eliminated, or created workarounds for them. He even added a kill switch (updated photo) so I can hard reset the system if needed. He is beyond meticulous!

Erik's audio acumen is beyond astonishing. Not only did he install an awesome sound system in my vintage Porsche, he gave it a ceramic wash, detailed the engine bay, diagnosed a bad alternator, as well as an A/C compressor issue that had German car techs scratching their heads, and then on top of that he recommended quality car care products to keep my one-of-one Porsche looking like it should between professional washings. Erik's place of business is set up so that customers can listen to a variety of stereos and speakers in order to get a combination of audio parts that suits that customer's listening pleasure. If you need a car audio or security system for your vehicle, look no further than Mobile AVC in Brunswick. Erik installed a deadbolt security system on my Ford Transit. It was a deadbolt security system he had not worked with before, so he took extra care to research the product prior to the installation. Erik stayed in touch every step of the way, including texting me pictures of the progress. He took great care to ensure that everything was done correctly and contacted the security system company when he had questions. He stayed quite late into the evening to work on the project and only stopped when a drill bit failed! The lock system features a recommended emergency deadbolt release cable (in case the vehicle battery dies), which requires drilling a hole into the driver’s door. Erik was concerned about the possibility of rust over time and came up with a super clever alternative approach that didn’t require drilling. Oh, and he installed rear speakers in the van that made a huge difference in the quality of the sound system!
