Updating my review. I called and spoke to Allison and she was very helpful and was able to customize our February allocation before it was sent out. She even helped me pick out some wines to try out. Thanks again! - Associates at this location are helpful but “back office” could care less for your “VIP” membership. Brooke at this location was great, and so was the other curly blonde associate here. They were pretty helpful and the wines were tasty and decently priced, so we decided to join the wine club… The only recommendation I would add is to have a sign or some sort of structure so that people know where to go for the tours and the tastings, etc. Everyone was kind of just in line waiting to get helped and wondering where to go. And as we were trying out some of the wines, we kept getting interrupted and skipped over for the people who had tours… I’d imagine that this would come in handy on busy days like the weekends.. Now, the reason for the 3 stars is that the “back office” communication is not so great… When we originally signed up for the wine club, we were unaware that the quarterly shipment was about to be sent out within the following days. After speaking with Brooke, she recommend we reach out to the back office team to see if we could skip the first allocation, since we had JUST purchased 6 bottles that day we signed up.. Unfortunately, they were not able to skip our first shipment without incurring a fee (according to the pamphlet). I have created an online account and scoured their website for more information over the wine club allocations, shipping dates, etc and couldn’t find anything. I reached out to the “VIP” email and they were not too helpful.. I just got the automated email saying that our shipment has been confirmed and that I should have received previous information over the allocations and over the pick-up parties, which I have not.. I have also asked about switching the type of wine club/allocations that we will receive, and I am currently waiting to hear back.. Again, more communication would be much appreciated. We were loyal customers of Grape Creek Vineyards for years until we decided to try a different place, and now we are not sure if this is the place for us. I don’t like the idea of having to keep paying for wine that we do not like and the lack of communication/information does not help out either.

Active-producing winery with wines, a tasting room, a restaurant, as well as a B&B. Complex is located near to Bryan, TX. We joined during one of their 'Harvest Festivals,' where we picked grapes for about 30 minutes, got to stomp on them a bit, then toured the facility. $35 harvest package included harvesting, stomping, a tour, and three samples of various locally produced wines (about 1/2 ounce per pour). Next level ticket at $75 (included tax and mandatory gratuity) included a lunch buffet upstairs with a single glass of wine. Staff was excellent, lunch was good (especially enjoyed the chicken, wish the dining room had been a little nicer). It was very interesting the see the family who owns the company (with their small children) come out and present, speak, and even talk to guests at the tables after the harvesting event. For those folks who had previously visited Napa and expect a regal experience in an immaculate tasting room, this is not the tour for you; this is a production-facility and you get taken right inside. Additionally, the tours consisted of a lot of families with small children, so this may not work for couples wanting to go on a romantic date. Grounds behind the pond area were not very well maintained, but there were a ton of turtles in the pond. Can recommend, but wish the price included more wine and less shirts.

Italy with Souther Hospitality! We had a fantastic experience at Messina Hof Estate Winery! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about their wines, making the tasting experience both educational and enjoyable. Meredith was so funny and passionate about the work being done in this winery, we just got excited and passionate just by listening to her. The wine selection was impressive, with a great variety of reds, whites, and unique blends. Each pour was thoughtfully explained, and I truly appreciated the attention to detail in every sip. My absolute favorite wine was the Port (red sweet wine)🍷 The vineyard itself is beautiful, creating the perfect backdrop for a relaxing afternoon. Gorgeous sunset 🌅 to say the least! We came today on Valentine’s Day so they had a wine with glitter ✨ and also a booth stand for cool valentine pictures, and lots of heart decore💘 It was definitely the place to be for a romantic night. The hospitality at Messina Hof is top-notch. Whether you’re a seasoned wine enthusiast or just looking for a great place to unwind, this winery is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Our stay at the villa was great! The price for the room was reasonable, the location was beautiful, and it was quiet and secluded. Our room came with a complementary wine tour and wine and cheese tasting. The wine tour was informative and our guide was fantastic. She was very knowledgable and personable and answered our questions in detail. She was also willing to say that she didn't know the answer to a question, rather than trying to come up with a BS answer on the spot. Great tour for beginners to wine! The cheese that came with our wine and cheese tasting was delicious, and my only complaint with it is that I wish we had been given a recommendation for a wine pairing for the cheeses, rather than just picking any glass without guidance. We had a fabulous time. I wish I could say that the restaurant was as fantastic as the rest of our stay, but it wasn't. We arrived on a Sunday and went to brunch before we checked in, because the restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays (which is unfortunate, but I completely understand them needing to be closed some days for events and whatnot). They were relatively busy when we got there, so we were prepared to wait a little longer to be seated and for our food to come out. We walked in the door and were ignored twice by servers who came up to speak to a different group of people who arrived at the same time as us. It took about 7 minutes before we were even spoken to or acknowledged, and we were seated a few minutes after that. Our server approached us and explained that they were busy and short staffed, which we were completely understanding of. A few things fell through the cracks, like water refills, and it took some time to get our wine and appetizer, but I was annoyed by how rude our server was. She interrupted us mid sentence and seemed annoyed to be answering questions. I understand having several other tables and needing to move quickly to get things done, but we were not demanding and we had very few questions for her. Even after the restaurant quieted down and we were some of the few people left in the restaurant, our service did not improve. I'm not impressed with the service at all. The food was alright, it was a little disappointing but the focal point of the business really is the wine, not the food. The wine was phenomenal, the villa was romantic and relaxing, and the grounds were beautiful. If you are planning to visit, I highly recommend it. Just don't expect much from the...

My friends and I went here for our first time today full of excitement as it has been a place we have been wanting to go for forever. It was a rainy and disgusting day, but we also knew it was one of out last free weekends of the semester. We initially accidentally went to "The Vintage House" but the host was super helpful and steered us in the right direction to the tasting room. However, when we got to the tasting room, the vibes were automatically different. The hostess treated us in a condescending manner and was very unclear about the process. We explained it was our first time here but still feel like we were left in the dark. We put our name down for a table while she told us to go wait outside, since we weren't allowed to be in the tasting room. We asked how we should know when our table is ready and she responds, "Well look at your phone in 45 minutes and then come back in". Okay... We're finally seated and the first thing our waiter says when she comes up to us is "the hostess said y'all would just tell me what you want" after not having received a menu or having made that statement. The hostess and our waitress would point at us and then whisper to one another which made us all uncomfortable. We proceeded to have terrible experience. There was no consistency between how much wine was poured in our glasses. We ordered food and items in the meal would be mentioned would be missing until we asked for them. Everyone in the restaurant had glasses of water, which were not given them to us until we asked and by then the check had come. We finally asked our waitress how long she had been working, hoping to give her the benefit of the doubt, but she had been there 6 months already. The wine was amazing and the food was great, but the service ultimately destroyed our experience. After having multiple friends have been here and our sorority hosing events here in the past, we were excited, but ended up disappointed. We will not...
