We enjoy this park. Great playgrounds for kids. There is a splash pad with a soft floor and there is a jungle gym area with wood chips. The dog park is nice, especially since there is a side for both large and small dogs. Alot of poop left behind by owners though. The lake portion is beautiful and tons of signs about Arizona game and fish laws. Both fields are finally open. The walking path around field one is paved nicely. The walking path around field 2 is alot more wet and muddy. This can make for an uneven path and can lead to falls. The Ramada tables do need to be cleaned. We go to this park atleast 3 times a week and a few of those times we have had lunch before our walks. We have sat in ramad #15, 19, 20 and even under the big Ramada by the splash pad. The tables have been dirty every time. We have accepted the fact that it comes with the territory so we just pack extra sanitary wipes to help clean up our area. There is tons of wildlife around the baseball field. We usually see 4 or 5 rabbits when we are walking behind that portion. They do have a volleyball area which we have yet to use but are looking forward to one day. There is some free community classes that are also fun to enjoy. I like this park and...
Read moreOn October 9 at around 6:20PM, I approached the dog park with my French pup. When we entered a group of three elderly women were circled around the middle of the park. I noticed this same group of women grabbed their dogs and had them on their lap. My frenchie being the curious pup she is, approached their area and was just sniffing around. (I had my eyes on her) When suddenly I hear one of the ladies say can you come get your dog. I answered her and said why? Is this not a dog park.. She had nothing to answer me. While I was trying to get my dog back on the leash.. this lady proceeded to lay hands on my dog and push my dog to the side. I asked her why did you just push my dog. She claimed she didn’t. Once I was able to get my pup back on her leash we left..
Please don’t take your dogs to the dog park if you don’t want your pet to be social or are afraid of dogs. This is a public dog place where they can be free and have fun. My poor pup had to settle for a dog walk this night and it disappoints because we had finally found a park we loved. We had been taking our dog 3/4 times out of the week and never had a problem...
Read moreYesterday was my first time to this park with my kids. I didn't know what to expect but over all I thought it was good. There was a really good variety of equipment for a large age range. A few critiques tho to explain my 4 star rating......For as large as the park is I think there should be more picnic tables. I also think the arrangement could've been done a little better because the bathrooms are quite far from the play area and tables. My friends daughter hit her face and ended up with a bloody nose so that's kind of a far walk with a bloody nose. My biggest critique is the green circular swing type thing in the air is dangerous, worse than the merry go round. As previously mentioned, we had an injury in our group and it was because she was hanging and swinging on that green one and a bigger kid grabbed on to swing too and swung it too hard causing her to fly off and hit her face in the wood chips. Not safe!!!! Otherwise we had...
