Far South Wholesale Nursery — Attraction in Buda

It was a Sunday afternoon, about 1:30pm, and my wife and I drove out to this nursery. There was a short, fat, white man mowing right at the entrance gate; so I stopped just inside it, smiled at him, and politely asked if the nursery was open. His reply was surprising. "This is private property," he said. "Get the hell out of here!" He proceeded to rattle off a cussing tirade as I backed out, and he shot us a finger as we backed out to leave. Needless to say, this isn't what my wife and I had expected. If he wasn't open, I'd have expected a decent person to say, "We're closed on Sunday," whereupon I would have simply left. I don't know what the guy's problem was, but I certainly won't do business with him, and I would advise others to consider my experience before they do, despite the 5-star ratings others have given him. My boyfriend and I visited hoping to find some bamboo plants. The place is huge (I think it is over 20 acres) and loaded with lots of amazing plants and greenery. Their website indicated that they are open to the public, but sometimes not able to tend to you right away since they are mainly wholesale and employees might be out and about on the property. We found the bamboo and then Regina pulled up on her golf cart. She was amazingly kind and helpful. She helped us pick out the perfect bamboo plant, load it on her cart, and she gave us a lift as we searched for some more plants. Fantastic Nursery! It’s a bit off the beaten path but it’s huge!!! It went on and on. They had everything we were looking for and more. Tons of native plants, indoor plants, grasses, trees and so much more! The staff are super helpful and give great suggestions!
