I have occasionally hiked to this spot for about 10 years. I didn't know it was considered a tourist attraction by some. I think of it as a street art gallery and have attached photos of some of my favorite artworks over the years. I have never had any serious trouble, but have encountered a couple people who made me feel anxious. It may not be a good destination for a vulnerable person to go alone. It's a very short walk from Canterbury Trails...
