Hummingbird House — Attraction in Buda

I don't think this review will do Hummingbird House and Danny the justice it deserves, both of which are amazing. I booked Hummingbird House 18 months prior to my wedding after my initial call with Danny without evening seeing the venue because I just knew from speaking to him and seeing photos online, it was going to be pure magic. Needless to say I was correct!

The venue: A hidden gem right outside of Austin that feels like you're in California or Italy. The grounds are so beautifully kept year round, and you can just see the love that goes into keeping HH looking as lovely it does. My guests couldn't stop commenting on how beautiful it was. It's also a great way to cut back on floral costs because it's so gorgeous as is. Easy to get to from downtown and tons of parking. My husband and I, alongside our friends, loved the suites, and the reception tent is perfect for an intimate wedding like ours. The gardens create a peaceful, lush environment for your ceremony and cocktail hour.I also took my bridal portraits here in december, and I was still blown away by the beauty!

Danny, the owner/planner: If you're lucky enough to get to work with Danny, please do it. I came into planning my wedding so unaware of what went into it, and Danny helped me every step of the way. Working with Danny felt like working with my best friend, his honesty and ability to keep you grounded is so underrated. He provides you with solid suggestions and recommendations, almost 50% of my vendors were those he recommended and I gave them all 10 stars. His communication is timely and respectful, and keeps brides like me (Type A) sane and excited each step of the way. Having Danny by my side on my wedding day felt like having a big brother with me. He was so helpful, kind, and has the most calming presence. He took the vision I provided him with during our calls and created what I can only say was my dream wedding.

My husband and I got married at Hummingbird House last December and it was the most PERFECT day. We were fairly overwhelmed when it came to wedding planning/venue shopping, but when we found Hummingbird House and Danny (who we also hired as our planner and helped us pick out all our vendors) we knew we had found 'the one'.

The venue itself is breathtaking with its luscious gardens and twinkle lights strung between the trees, as well as the elegant white tented indoor reception space giving reprieve from unpredictable Texas summers/winters.

Day of the wedding, Danny and his assistant had such a calm and cheerful demeanor and handled all of decor setup. We basically dropped off all our decor items in boxes the night before and they handled all of the setup as well as packing them back up for pickup the morning after. Danny and his assistant even rolled up their sleeves to help bustle my dress in between ceremony and reception (I had MANY buttons on my bustle that required four people to manage, it remains such a funny and unique memory of the day).

Wonderful Venue and Team! My husband and I got married at The Hummingbird House in November of 2023. Our wedding was everything we could have ever hoped for! We toured the place with the owner Danny and he was so kind and personable. When we booked the venue we did got their planning package and I cannot recommend it enough. We feel so lucky to have had Kelsey help us plan our wedding! She was incredible! I had attended very few weddings and felt very intimidated by planning a wedding. She answered all our questions and gave great suggestions. Kelsey was also super sweet! I was sad to say good bye to her at the end of our wedding! I really cannot imagine our day with her help. My husband and I felt that Kelsey and Danny both truly cared we had a memorable wedding day and were happy for us. On our actual wedding day it rained all day. Kelsey was so sweet and worked so hard to help keep the plan that we had agreed on. Thankfully it stopped raining right before we went to plan B!
