Couples Looking for Cute Date: Not This One
I’ll start this review with the preface that it’s specifically for couples looking for fall cute dates. It’s almost impossible to filter corn mazes and such with this as every one labels themselves as family friendly. You wont know if it’s under 10 years old family friendly or all encompassing until you go.
Activities: Most things are designed for kids under the age of 10. Perfectly fine. Just very little for the teens and young adults. They’re left with the haunted house, pedal bikes, “hayride”, and basketball. Axe throwing was not available at this time.
Hayride: No hay. It’s a wagon ride. Also it just went around the small perimeter of the “farm” with about two hundred feet of it being the “enchanted forest” which had nothing but a random spider fact section and pointing out the spider webs in the trees.
Corn Maze: This was fine. Large enough to enjoy and small enough to not get lost. Wish it had check points to find like others I have been to. Collecting the stamps/hole punches were fun back at the parks in Alabama.
Haunted Forest: I don’t get scared but even jump scares took a back seat just from me trying not to trip over roots and uneven areas in the path. Others with better night vision trying not to snap their necks will still get spooked.
Food: Overpriced. To be expected. For the most part it was fine. Loved the mango slices and horchata. Kettle corn was good and brought it back to my dad. He enjoyed it.
Animals: Very small selection and good luck with trying to pet, only the pigs would come up the gate and barely. You can’t give them snacks so they have little interest.
Pedalbikes: The track isn’t really a track. Just one itty bitty circle.
Pumpkins: I’m going to tell you I almost straight up stole these. No signage and every patch I have been to, you got a pumpkin per person per ticket. Is paying extra a Georgia thing or just this one spot? I only happened to see someone take their pumpkin to a small booth to pay. That’s when I rolled the pumpkin around to see a $30 price tag on a $10 walmart pumpkin. No thanks.
Corn: People take the corn, but they try to police it anyway. We didn’t take any. I was hoping I could’ve though.
Conclusion: Meant for small kids. Small place. Fine for the littles but older kids will not have too much to do. Cute, whimsy date? I’d look...
Read moreBefore I start, I know safety and security is most important which is why they even get a star. Employees worn mask, sanitizer was available, and mask were requested not required. Most people stayed within 6ft however that can be hard considering. Ok, so this was our first visit to this corn maze and we will never come back nor will it be one I recommend. We usually go to Randy’s or Washington Farms. Randy’s, is closed this year and Washington farm is further than I wanted to drive this year. Since I had heard of Buford corn maze before and the reviews seemed good, I thought it would be something the kids would enjoy. I have a 12 year old and 3 year old. Thank goodness the youngest was free because we left in less than an hour. The website says no admission required, so I was under the impression we would only be paying for the corn maze and/or haunted house. Both of which I had no interest in doing. My daughter has been wanting to do a corn maze, so I told her she could today. When we arrived the girl at admissions said everyone had to pay $15 to come in except the child- he is 3. So we had to pay $45 dollars to walk a completely DEAD corn maze( you can literally see through the maze), and for my son to go down a slide that was attached to two other slides. There are no ponies to ride. You can barely pet the animals, they are just there to look at, there are no games- like the website shows. I understand there is a pandemic but if the playground areas, jump area and corn box are open there should be some kind of games available- corn shoot, pumpkin shoot, corn hole something. Overall we were not impressed and will not return. I do not understand the hype nor did I understand the slap full parking! Save your self the...
Read moreIt’s a very unsafe place. They take everyone in no limit and it’s crowded. Half population have no mask on. Lines are long. No real rule or requirement. I was so uncomfortable and just hoping we weren’t exposed to virus. I don’t recommend this place at all as even medium risk.
I read your response below and that's unfortunately not true. i didn't see any limitation what so ever. i didn't see any station for sanitizers and people were packed. you can sanitize your hand but you are inhaling in that crowd. are you kidding yourself??. the trampolines were full of kids adults combined. at one point a huge guy was about to fall on my 3 year old daughter. the guard was walking back and forth didn't do anything about the situation. the pony ride line was so long and people were just almost touching each other. no one was there to guide them to keep distance. almost half the crowd didn't wear mask. we got stuck with our children or we would have left right away. I know you need to run your business but increase your price a bit and limit the number of ticket sold. priority to online and whatever left in line. Please don't be responsible for peoples lives. i have a father with asthma living with me and now i'm just in panic what if i got exposed. I had no idea the place is going to be that crowded. most places in Buford practice social distancing. i think i just had a stupid belief that they all are like that. write in your page very largely that you are not practicing social distancing and add a banner in the entrance and then leave it up to people to choose. I am a small business owner but making money doesn't justify everything. I bet if data available many people are at high risk when visiting that...
