Monticello Playground — Attraction in Burke

This is a popular park even at 9am on MLK Day! Met some friends here for a socially distant play date and had a great time. There were a lot of kids, but they were good about wearing masks and keeping to themselves (as much as they could while running around the playground). It's not made for very small kids and is more like a big, bright obstacle course for ninja warrior training, but everyone seemed to be having fun. This isn't a playground so much as an obstacle course. The sign says it's designed for ages 13+ but I didn't see any kids over 10. My youngest one was 6 and was able to do all the obstacles. It's will maintained but slightly small for the number of kids that are often there. It's next to a dog park with separate sides for big and small dogs. Parking...

Very cool place but I didn’t realize it’s for older kids until I got there with my 21 month old 😂🤦🏻‍♀️. My fault for not looking at the picture past the colors and the word playground.
