Finding the beach can be a little tricky with all the construction and a narrow pelt marked gap between 2 buildings indicate the entrance to the park.

Once through that the spaces opens for a lot of rv parking and you even go through a tunnel that goes under an amazing bike trail. The approach to the beach is beautiful: the road winds down revealing the green promenade and the mighty Lake Champlain.

The parking lot has lots of pot holes and is also prone to flooding, but there is plenty parking spaces.

There is a small bar and "restaurant", that serves heaping pulled off nicely salted fries, a basic but delicious hotdog, and hamburgers (which I never tried).

There is a bathroom, changing room, and foot showers. On the south tip of the beach you can rent kayaks and paddle boards.

This beach is one of my favorite beaches in the country. Beautifully silky smooth sand that gradually slopes into the water and continues is gentle trajectory for quite a long time. You could be a quarter mile out and still be in waist deep water. The water is usually quite pleasant though more than one the wind picks up and it can get very wavy, but I enjoy this personally.

The promenade is grassy and pleasant to have a picnic, though it is prone to flooding when it rains.

Just north of the beach is a beautiful nature trail that takes you along the lake and eventually to a more jagged coast where people with boats drive up to the rocks to climb and then jump off them.

All and all a great place to spend the day or...

Been going here since I was a little kid. Not much has changed. The negative reviews are generally about Burlington. Ultimately it's camping, if you're looking for glamorous perfection it's not that. Showers used to cost a quarter they're now free, but not super hot. The homeless population in the area has definitely grown but I can't see how people are blaming the campground for that. Was quiet and no one bothered us while we were there. Cars come and go during the day but feel that's kind of to be expected. The beach was clean and the water was pristine. Really nice for little ones, as it was not weedy or slimy by the shore, the waves were small and almost non-existent, and the depth was very gradual. My 2 year old loved running around in the water where he could touch the ground. All in all will be back and looking back it's pretty much the same I remember it being...

I actually loved my time here although many locals tell me not to go here. You do have to pay for parking $8 for the day. The beach is very big and long, the water shallow and good clarity. It definitely had more of a college chick/bro vibe. Young kids playing beer pong and stuff like that. But the amenities are great! There's a restaurant to have lunch (I haven't tried it but it puts my mind at ease to know I can grab from or even a water in an emergency). Large mostly clean bathrooms. A large area devoted to playgrounds for little and big kids. My daughter had a blast here and took time to play on the slides and in the water. I could see if becoming overcrowded or just a giant college party so I think we got lucky. Pick your day of visit with that in mind and you...

Having recently moved from New York, I was eager to explore local spots and heard about North Beach Park from someone. I decided to visit and was absolutely delighted by what I found. The beach is awesome, with plenty of space and fewer crowds, ensuring a peaceful experience. The water is perfect for swimming, and the overall atmosphere is very relaxing. Additionally, the playground for kids is fantastic, with plenty of equipment and activities to keep children entertained. There's ample parking, including spaces for those with disabilities, making it very accessible. The park is eco-friendly and remarkably quiet, adding to its appeal. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and highly recommend North Beach Park to anyone looking for a great place to unwind. You won't regret it!

This is certainly a destination when you come to Burlington. You can pay a non resident fee of $8 if you drive or you can rent a bike and enter for free. There is a kayak and paddle board company that sets up in the northern part of the park. The park offers trailer style camping as well. The concession staff needs some more help and a better system to work with; they are hard working but could use some more help- many customers seemed agitated on a busy Saturday. The beach is life guarded which is a plus...the rules are a bit more lax than we are used to at our local beach. There is a playground and some barbecues available for use as well. Enjoy your stay if you choose to go. If my review was helpful please consider selecting the “like” button below. Thanks.

Made the mistake of going to Sand Bar State Park first and what a waste of time that was. We were looking for a clean, chill beach and didn't think North Beach would be it with it being so close to the city. We were wrong! It was so clean! Plenty of beach for everyone to have their own space! Only had to pay to park and then find your spot to chill and enjoy. The water is clean! It is shallow for quite a distance! We swam and then we discovered the bar! Yes, there is a small outside restaurant and tiki bar next to the main building. Order drinks from the tiki bar and BRING THEM TO YOUR BEACH BLANKET TO ENJOY!!!! I SIPPED ON TWO PINA COLADAS WHILE WADING IN THE LAKE!!! It was my favorite day of my entire vacation in the Burlington, Vermont area. Will return!
