What a nice easy stroll these trails are. They are all flat and well maintained... mostly gravel...trails or paths. They are adjacent to the Skagit airport, so sometimes you get to see airplanes take off and land. The trails on the south side of the airport also have some wetlands in them, so it's not uncommon to see waterfowl there. You almost always see rabbits in the evening. In one 5-mile walk, I saw 26 rabbits! It's a very easy walk with no elevation change, so it's a great place to bring kids. They also have some gym equipment along the way for doing pull ups and sit ups and that sort of thing. If you're looking for a way to get some fresh air and don't have a lot of time, you can make it around this 2.4 mile loop in about 30 minutes if you are a brisk walker. The south trail also goes right by the Heritage Flight Museum. There are dog baggie stations, so the area is dog friendly. There are usually folks walking it as this is a popular location. Started to take our dog here regularly for walks until someone broke our car window for no reason(we leave nothing in it) while we were out on the trail. Not a safe area, save your money and look elsewhere.
