This is my first time at the Skagit River Sports Complex/Park in Burlington. My son's football team had their first playoff game here. We had a great time(even if we didn't win). I'd like to check out the trail alongside the river next time and maybe have a picnic in the grass somewhere or at one of the many picnic tables provided. You have to plan and know what field you're playing on in order to park correctly otherwise you'll be walking for at least a half mile in some cases. The parking is insufficient when they have tournaments or on busy weekends. Although they do have parking attendants directing traffic when it's a super busy. Read moreIt's a wide open park. Its down on the river and people are always walking the dike. It's beautiful, has horseshoe pits, a lot of them, an rc track for the zoom zoom cars, and the dog area is big enough for 2 49'ers teams. It can be a little breezy down there so bring along a jacket. There are restrooms that are open and picnic tables under a canopy. Gets ya out of the sun when it's shinning and the rain when that's coming down too.
