I used to love this place before but after what happened to me I will never come back. When I was in the water relaxing, someone kept on shooting me with a water gun even when I told them to stop. Not only that a child almost hit me with a water football they did not apologize to me, so my sister told them they were a a-hole. So the child went up to their FATHER, (mind you I'm a minor and a woman and so is my sister,) the father went up to my sister and mother FIRST, and started F-BOMBING them. He was also around 30-40, mainly yelling at my SISTER. like I said my sister is a MINOR. He started cursing in Spanish and English. He not only did that but he also was holding his fist up to my sister. So my sister feels threatened about this obviously, but then the father goes up to the lifeguard and tells them them story, (AND a few things that did not happen.) so the lifeguard gets the manager and the manager gets their story first. (But something that bothered me was that she was almost racially discriminating me and my family. Her name is apparently J. Lopez) when the manager gets their story she then comes up to us, she then asked us what happened. But she keeps cutting my mom off and talking about the cameras. What is bothering me is that my family kept telling her that he was swearing in front of a whole bunch of kids and that his child were also swearing and saying the N-word and his child was also hitting other children his age. I have a problem with that because I was not raised around these words. When J. Lopez when up to my family when she was done checking out the cameras she told us that WE were the ones who needed to be kicked out if anything happened again. (Mind you we were not the ones who started doing this.) she also said that she already talked to the man about this, but he was in the water the whole time with his child. And when she left she did not go over to him but instead left. I have a problem with this because we were not in the wrong. I feel as if this is racial discrimination.. If you want to go here I would recommend not too because of the people here. The manager is a liar and racial discriminator, and all of the people there are rude and disrespectful. The atmosphere might be nice but everything else is not, Even the food is horrible. I paid WAY too much just for cold french fries. After all of this happened me and my family felt too threatened to go back into the water, so we left. If I was able to give negative stars I would, like I said I loved at this place but...

This past weekend, my sister and I organized a baby shower at an event hall. Initially, our interactions with Judy, the manager and event coordinator, were positive. She was kind, helpful, and assured us she would assist us with anything we needed for the event.

However, on the day of the event, we were running a bit late. Since we had already paid the deposit and the remaining balance, we thought this would only affect our own schedule. But upon arrival, Judy’s demeanor shifted noticeably. She became unexpectedly rude and short-tempered, which was surprising and disappointing given our previous interactions.

The diverse gathering we had might have influenced her attitude, which was both disheartening and unprofessional. The situation escalated when Judy threatened to call the police over an issue that was clearly outlined and permissible in our contract. Strangely, her intense reaction subsided after speaking with one of our “white” family members. At that point, she seemed less agitated and no longer inclined to involve the authorities.

Additionally, my sister, who is almost eight months pregnant, went to grab some decorations from the car. When she returned, Judy refused to open the gate for her again, forcing her to walk all the way around the entire beach carrying a heavy box of decorations. This lack of consideration for my sister’s condition was not only inconsiderate but also extremely rude, especially considering the extremely hot weather. It felt unfair to make a pregnant woman work all the way around knowing that she was definitely a part of the event.

While the venue itself met our expectations, the experience with the management/ staff left much to be desired and very unsatisfied, considering it being such a big event and moment for my little sister. I hope this feedback encourages improved professionalism, courtesy, and sensitivity for all guests...

NOT YOUR TYPICAL DAY AT THE BEACH Gem of a beach at a gorgeous lake located at 50 Old Hillside Dr, Glendale, RI. Perfect for the whole family. Includes an arcade that contains playable relics of old time boardwalk and fair games alongside newer games for the kids to win tickets for prizes. There is the food shack which serves a small variety of fast food and ice cream treats. The rest rooms and showers are very clean. For a small reasonable fee, you can rent tiny paddle boats and child sized canoes for the young ones. For the adults, they also have canoes and paddle boards. You can also play table tennis, ring toss, and other games right on the beach. Did I mention the small playground area for young children? The lake water is very clean and contains tiny fish that will swim up to you and delight children in the shallows. The sand is clean and powder soft. There is a dock you can swim to and relax on. Near the shore there are also some tiny child water slides perfect for the little ones. Lifeguards are on duty during public hours. This is one of my favorite places to go for a fun filled family beach day.

A really fun place, love the old games. Beware though, we drove over an hour to come here only to be told they would be closing in an hour for a party. We called in the morning to confirm the hours with no answer and nowhere online did it say they randomly close. They then told us to leave in 45min (not even an hour) and they still charged us the $7 a person to get in. Really disappointed.
