This was my first time visiting Spring Lake Beach, and unfortunately, the experience was tainted by the rude behavior of the front desk attendant. When we arrived, I clearly told the older lady at the entrance that we had 3 adults and 2 children. She got up from her chair, looked directly at my 3-year-old son, and still charged him as an adult. Later, when we were leaving, I walked back to ask about the admission prices, since the sign with the pricing was posted on the other side of the location, which I hadn’t seen initially. I asked her why I was charged for my 3-year-old when he should have been free. Instead of explaining respectfully, she gave me attitude and said, “Next time you have to tell me his age.” I reminded her that she had looked right at him when we came in, and could have simply asked at the time. Customer service matters—especially for first-time visitors—and I hope they consider training staff to be more respectful and professional when speaking with guests. Read moreFor a local beach in the middle of Burrillville, Spring Lake has a lot to offer. Plenty of sandy beach with multiple roped-off swimming areas and some small slides for the toddlers. The shallow parts of the water are pretty clear and sandy. The water was very warm with very small waves. There were no boats on the lake at the time we were there. There are only a few trees for shade and they usually get taken quick. So expect to bring an umbrella. Other amenities here include a snack bar, an arcade, clean restrooms, shower facility, and lockers. If you do not live in Burrillville, you will have to pay $7 per person to enter. I think this is reasonable. There is a free parking lot up the street. It was confusing having never been here before because there were no signs at the parking lot telling you how to get to the beach. We just had to walk down the small road between the houses and then finally found it. A couple of signs would be nice. Overall, a nice place and we will...
