Our Lady of the Rockies — Attraction in Butte

My six year old son wanted to visit Mary on our annual mom/son weekend. When we scheduled and paid for our tour (about 5 days prior) we were told there were only 4 other people on the tour. A few hours before the tour (and after we already drove over from Bozeman), we got a call that the tour was oversold by one ticket and they had to cancel our reservation. This was very disappointing and frustrating. We were clearly pushed out by a larger group that brought in more money. For a tour to see Mother Mary, you would expect the staff to uphold certain values. In this case, money was more important than doing what was right. For anyone who wishes to approach Our Lady of the Rockies, you are trespassing on private owners prescious land, and this man I encountered made sure to spit in front of my car and inform me that if I were to view Our Lady up close and personal, I was to go to the mall and take a bus. There is a sign, on a building for a station KXLF stating the road is private & no trespassing, but I called and was informed that I could proceed up the road, they would not prosecute, but the private landowners up there were the ones I was to look out for. Not to far up the road, after my permission from KXLF, was where I met a really old man on a huge piece of equipment who gave me a look to kill & spit in front of my car. WWJD?? I AM now...

Our Lady is magnificent, but Vicki in the gift shop made the whole experience dismal. She was all stressed out about overbooking and scolded my husband when I went to the bathroom after the movie. I was on the bus 4 mins before departure. She did not scold the four people who showed up late, totally missed the movie, and then went to the bathroom, thus, making the whole bus wait five minutes. After the tour I went in to talk to Vicki, and she lied about what she said and was combative. The road is super bumpy, and the vehicles are old and not so nice.
